I'm not convinced that I'm playing the same game as a good portion of the people here

I keep seeing people repeat the same BS like "team comps don't matter" "tank stats are completely worthless" "skill and warding doesn't matter" and "solo lanes don't matter"

Lol whut? I've lost most of my ranked games because our comp was shit because we either

  1. Had 0 CC

  2. Had 0 front line

  3. Had no AP damage

A Riven with tabis and randuins is virtually unkillable to an ADC unless the whole team is focused on peeling. An Annie with just Zhonyas will cut an MF's damage in half. For the majority of the game tanks are still extremely beefy and can survive a fairly long amount of time unless they're literally 1v5.

90% of the reason why I see people die is because they didn't pay attention to wards or didn't ward in the first place.

Many of the solo lane champions are more impactful than a bot lane if they both do reasonably well in a game.

y'all are just bad at the game and blaming your missteps on damage or "shit balancing" or some other BS.

LOL. You really think that it is my fault that I'm hardstuck? Game is simply shit, that's why. Tanks suck. Adcs are so weak. Strategies doesn't matter. Game is dying. Jnglers are bad, wards doesn't do any damage...

The "wards doesn't do any damage..." part definitely made me think sarcasm but I've read rants that included lines like "people don't ward because it doesn't do damage"

I see not having tanks as the main reason teams lose. I rarely see assassins kill anyone in less than 3 seconds unless they are like 15 kills up and lol at bursting a tank when you cant even reach that much damage even if they had 0 resist. People who build 0 armor or mr then complain about getting bursted is still a thing I see. Mages are usually killing everything but tanks.

Literally just watched a Sylas run up and one shot me and my adc at full hp. He was level 10 with 1 and we were 8 with 1 each, but he had 1 item and it was 2v1. Blah blah blah, whatever whatever. My point being that I've definitely seen a lot of assassin's just one or two shot people from powerspikes happening in early game. Tanks and armor and blah blah, I've played tank and it's just a race between defenses vs pen, a race that I tend to lose. Sure people die to misplays and whatnot, but on an actual just no-skill all stats and dmg perspective assassin's are in a really strong spot all game. Mages are basically just ranged assassin's with varying mobility so it makes sense that people would have varying success stories.

id guesstimate like 20% of games cant be decided at champ select. The other 80%, its obvious whos going to win based on composition and counterpicks.

There’s nothing more satisfying than baiting an arrogant Fighter into a turret dive, low-health all-in, or gank. Tanks might not deal much damage, but what they have comes in bursts and usually alongside powerful crowd control.

The best thing is when top blames bot for dying to the enemy assassin in late when top refused to pick anyone even remotely durable, so the enemy Katarina just gets free reign over the map.

Pick a tank or juggernaut when going top. Stop trying to play Vayne top, it's fucking trash tier and you lose lane to almost everyone in the game except maybe Darius and Morde, and they have 3 assassins.

On the other hand top (and to some extend) jungle shouldn't be expected to play frontline 100% of the games. Yknow, we want to have fun too.

Its the boards, not a lot of users here understand draft outside of "they got yasuo, we're fucked". Half the time the players counter pick themselves and then rant about how OP something is when its more of a "no shit kha'zix is suppose to kill your ADC who's splitpushing" moment. You can't expect majority of the playerbase to acknowledge what actually cost them games when majority of the playerbase isn't made up of high mmr players.

Funny thing is one of the coaches I communicate with literally says "to improve at the game stop checking the boards, no sane high elo player visits them", which is the truth considering how very few notable names come on here compared to twitter or reddit where even pro players communicate.

Sadly that's not something that will easily change.

It's probably because of a handful of reasons.

  1. Certain users are RGM only players who are super far removed from what SR is like

  2. People come here to vent and not think critically, resulting in a lot of BS being spewed.

  3. Certain users don't even play league of legends anymore and propagate the above player's opinions despite not.

  4. Some people just really suck at the game and shift the blame on whatever they can, be it damage, balance, or OP champs.

Ok lets see....

Had 0 CC. How to get cc......tank top which is a no-go because of all the true damage up there, galio mid who is very powerful but vs a zed or the king talon is useless and support tanks..nautilus will die, blitz will pop, thresh is an option, so is braum but......OH YEAH PYKE THE ASSASSIN SUPPORT but if you see him expect to not find his adc cause he will be in spawn with 0 kills.

Frontline is pretty easy to get...oh wait....tanks used to be heavy frontliners.....yeah screw it. If you have like a grabber or something, you can begin the fight if not....yeah,,, NEXT!

Ap...how can you not have ap? not a brand support? not a akali? damn yeah thats called idiot teamates.

Most of the people who flame me in allchat for oneshotting and abusing talon are people who build literally zero armor and expect to not die. Probably similar people complaining about damage on the boards. Damage is definitely high, but not high enough where a person one level down in lane dies to an immediate all-in from full health by an opponent whos only one kill up, unless you didn't even try to buy armor or MR.

I'll share with you one interesting story that is so simple yet i didn't see it, few years ago i was complaining on the boards how it sucks when you're 10/0 adc and you can still die to a 3/7 Riven and get blown up pretty easily, the thing that got stuck in my head is someone replying something along the lines of, if you don't buy any defense then you are still going to be blown up just as fast as if you we're behind, since none of the gold you've earned was invested into defensive stats.

It appears so obvious that people completely forget how true this is, you can't expect to be tanky when building full damage, just as you couldn't expect to deal tons of damage while building full tank.

Sadly currently damage is too high so those resistances can sometimes feel meaningless, like me dying to Zed without him hitting his Q just RE+Duskblade while having item 3026 item 3047 item 3071 on Miss Fortune, but there's a few outliners on all sides, just yesterday i've played Vayne with this build item 3006 item 3153 item 3124 item 3026 item 3080 item 3046 and i was literally tanking 3 people trying to kill me in a team fight without me dying and killing them all to win the game, so i guess they must feel as hopeless as i do sometimes

Everything has CC nowadays. If your team has no CC then ya'll done fucked up.

there is a little bit of CC in most comps, but it's usually very low and not helpful in teamfights.

  1. Most overpowered champions have CC in their kit in some way now. It is your teams fault for picking shit champions.

  2. In general front line champions have CC in some form that allows them to engage. So If you don't have CC you don't have a front line either.

  3. AP damage is trash and easily negated by buying MR. Triple AP is an auto loss while full AD is ok.

People need to play more roles to understand the game better, for example, people complain tanks are useless as well as defensive stats, but i can't tell you enough how hopeless it feels not playing Vayne in a matchup vs 3 beefy champions, god forbid an actual tank like Maokai is among them, killing just 1 guy with Sunfire and Deadmans plate mid game for a non tank killer champ like Caitlyn is nigh impossible without a whole team effort, full damage Zed is annoying but i can deal with it, Tabis, Black Cleaver and Edge of NIght zed is a completely disgusting creation that i can't even imagine beating or surviving in any way, the same goes for all lanes, dipping into one or two defensive items like item 3157 item 3026 can shift the game tremendously.

You all must know the feeling of hopelessness when you see that fed ad carry come back and now he has a second life on him, or that mid laner not being free food anymore cause he's got a Zhonya and can negate half of your damage.

Damage is high now but people aren't buying defensive items enough, not just tanks, every damage dealer has items that give offensive and defensive stats, get them, it will make you less likely to blow up, it will make your mistakes harder to punish it will give you more options in a fight.

Also i started playing toplane Yorick, i never played toplane and im winning games by just straight up pushing pushing pushing, im 2/11 but i've got an inhib and one nexus turret, next teamfight if we win we finish the game, so don't tell me a good top laner can't do it
