Was there a change in how many losses you can have while on 0LP before you get demoted?
I thought it was demotion on your 3rd loss.......but after winning promos yesterday......i started today on 0LP and went on a 5 game losing streak but never got demoted.
nm10102 votesIt's based on mmr, you get 3 guaranteed no demotion games. Then it's based on whether your mmr is low for your division.
Kilanost1 votesThats normal. Once you get to a new division, you can lose more games than normal until you win a game in that new division. I have no idea how many but apparently its at least 5.
Deep Terror Nami1 votesYou do get 3 games of demotion protection (wins and losses, not just 3 losses at 0 LP) after a Division promotion (10 for Tier), but you can also get some additional protection with good MMR for your rank. Are you getting high LP gains currently?
VvVVvV1 votesI was but not now. Last few days I was on a hot streak.....something like 17-4. I was getting around 20 or 21 LP. Then i lost 5 after promotion and just won my last game and got 17Lp.

it's based on how good your MMR is too
your MMR will tank at 0 LP once you start losing there. But if it was good previous, you'll tank a few games.
