Guinsoo's Rageblade / Wit's End

item 3124 item 3091 Anyone else find these items weak compared to other options? I think they could use a slight buff... On champs where I find these items considerable, Udyr Jax maybe even..Shyvana Volibear Shen Aatrox Tryndamere Poppy to an extent... However these items are largely outclassed by:item 3153 item 3078 and possibly even item 3146 , Granted these 3 cost more, item 3091 and item 3124 are a lot of times barely worth building. The concept of these 2 items are awesome, I love the idea of "hybrid" damage I feel that has really fallen from League in general. Jax now builds BoTRK/Trinity being AD heavy. Udyr, Trinity (mostly AD) full tank.. if any of the other champs i listed were to get an offensive item, 9.9/10x it will be botrk/trinity or even gunblade before wits end or guinsoo's.

I propose 1 of 3 things:

Give item 3124 item 3091

  1. Better Stats (maybe increase the cost because of this)
  2. An active
  3. Lower Combine cost.

TL;DR these items are unique however are very out classed even on Hybrid champions. Instead of removing an unpopular item Please consider buffing them.

I actually really like Wit's End. It's a decent build on a bruiser who needs to tend toward the tanky side of things, but still wants offensive stats. Irelia and maybe Aatrox could benefit from it. I do wish Miss Fortune's ult applied WE stacks, though.

Rageblade, though—you're right. Possibly the most fun item in the game, aaaannnd it doesn't really work on anyone. I used to play Hybrid Varus mid just as an excuse to build this, but yeah. There are very few situations in which it's actually practical.

Then again, items aren't like champions. It's not the end of the world if an item is underpowered.

Understandable, but I still think it would be better if EVERY item was viable on different champs, or different situations. I mean these are only 2 items that are out classed, there are many. And to further this point. These items are meant to be GOOD on hybrid champions and the basic AD or AP items are WAY better. I agree with your post. But I still wish these items were more valuable.

Yeah, definitely. I'm not saying this is a bad idea at all. I'd love it. I just don't have high hopes of the balance team getting around to it any time soon, unfortunately.

Then again, I have a tendency toward unwarranted pessimism. :D

Wits End just needs a less painful build path.

item 3091 Is fine. Leave it the hell alone. It gets buffed, we see AA's go batshit again, and they will nerf Warwick further because of an item. Maybe the cost can be reduced, Damage wise it is fine. And it isn't outclassed by a item 3078 or item 3153 considering they do vastly different things.

item 3124 However, this needs a tuneup. Mainly around its passive.

agree for some:

for item 3091 only 3

cost reduce to 2500 from 2600

for item 3124 only 1

AS stack +5% from +4% for 8 stacks or change to +10% for 4 stacks or +8% for 5 stacks

AP stack +5 from +4 for 8 stacks or change to +10 for 4 stacks or +8 for 5 stacks

bonus AS for falling below 50% is +25% from +20% cost raise to 2800 from 2600

item 3091 problem lies in that it doesn't build out of a combination item or rather that it's not considered a "late game item". Imagine if we had an item made from item 1042 and item 1052 which had magic damage per basic attack passive. Even Nashor's tooth could somehow be build out of that. And maybe even a new item for certain type of mages...

item 1042 + item 1052 + item 3028 = item 3170

30% attack speed 40 AP 25 magic resist 50% mana regen Mana font: restores 2% missing mana every 5 seconds. Passive: on hit deals 30-40 magic damage, steals 5 mr from enemy (stacking up to 5 times) and restores 1% missing mana.

A mage version of Wit's end + also a nice mana regen item without cdr.

Not in the least. Guinsoo's is incredibly potent as an early snowball item because of its massive stat/gold efficiency, so if you can get it early on you snowball disgustingly fast. It is a niche item, but by no means a weak one.

Wit's end is fantastic for on-hit/magic DPS Champions, since the MR shred is actually really powerful and can get your opponent to negative MR (which begins to multiply your damage). Again, it is a niche item, but is not weak in any way.

The difference between both of these and the other major ones you've listed is that they are both between 800-1200 gold cheaper, and are also much more gold efficient, meaning that if you get a Rageblade or Wit's End early before your opponent gets a Trinity force or BotRK or whatever else, then you will have the upper hand for the rest of the game. The only time they become even a little suboptimal is late game when you need slot efficiency, not gold efficiency. Also, Nashor's is a weird one in the list of "better hybrid items" you made, because it actually synergizes very well with both Guinsoo's and Wit's, making picking up two of them a very strong combination.

I'm going to try adding those into my On-Hit Shaco

I've been doing Hybrid Pen marks, item 3718 and item 3153 then tank. It takes objectives very fast and is useful in a team fight with item 3143

As of now my damage at end game is 60% physical and 40% magic

A fun build might be item 3718 item 3124 and item 3091 if ahead, I bet it would turn into a 50/50 split of damage, get item 3020 like Corki does.

Q in, drop a box and ult, get a few autos in and then E to execute with the amped up AP. Would be a fun.

The biggest downside is lack of lifesteal for jungle clearing.

I buy wit's end on Nunu and Warwick. .--.

I think Wit's end is in a decent spot. I buy that regularly on MasterYi when the enemy decides to purchase thornmail but i don't have the cash for blood thirster.

Granted, item 3153 seems better, but wits end+ devourer allows you to out-duel and kill phoenix Udyr in a magic-damage duel that just stacked a lot of armor.

idk, a little price reduction would be nice, but then again we don't want pre-season 5 Warwick all over again

item 3124 is actually a great item on AP XinZhao . It gives him amazing dueling power and makes his tower pushing so much stronger.

Wit's end is pretty damn good, 42 magic damage on-hit, 5 MR steal on hit, 30 MR and a good deal AS.

It's a really good counter-offensive item for autoattackers who don't go AD.

Considering that the biggest amount of AD on an AS item is like... 25? 35? 42 damage every autoattack is really good when it's coupled with top tier AS.

Some of the items you mention like hextech gunblade and trinity force are simply too expensive for Jungle, Support, and Tanks to get in a reasonable time frame.

item 3091 is super good on Evelynn as well, especially combined with devorere enchantement.

item really FINE imo.
