Nasus is actually performing rather poorly currently, contrary to popular belief.

Lolayltics: 49.5 LeagueOfGraphs: 50.3 OP.GG 47.25

OP.GG is a little lower, to the point where I considered running a standard deviation but with only 3 items that isn’t necessary, nor is constructing a mean. Moreover, when you use any of these sites to observe Nasus winrate in plat+ in KR, you’ll see his winrate drops significantly. So in high elo, in the best region in the world, Nasus is performing terribly.

Don’t get it twisted though: I am not asking for buffs. I don’t think he needs them. I actually believe a statistically poor performing Nasus suggests he’s balanced: it’s telling me that he’s losing more than he’s winning and that’s what you should expect with a champion like him. He should be used as a counterpick, and even then it’s not the end of the world.

Case in point, I’ve been maokai in this match-up plenty of times. I cannot stop him from stacking. I will do my best but not to my detriment. So he gets stacked, and my response? So what. He won’t be allowed to move, and I’m never going to get dove by him because I’ll get a lot of gold in this lane, too. Nasus getting stacked is a little scary but you should keep perspective: yes he demolishes towers with stacks but guess what? Even supports with demolition mastery can take towers by themselves currently. Everything he does well is done better by someone else, so it’s easy to get caught up in the numbers. That’s not to say one should ignore his stacks, but one shouldn’t overreact.

The point of this thread is to say chillax: Nasus really isn’t that great now.

Where's this popular belief? No one thinks he's performing great. However, he needs to have a rough start for his late game power and many can't handle that. He's actually in an ok spot. A lot of the losses are likely from inexperienced doggos that expect jg to babysit them. Source: half the doggos I run into.

Where’s the popular belief? Read your next sentence, you implied that he doesn’t have a rough start. And his pickrate is sitting between 2-4%, which is not just some random nobodies playing him. That’s mostly his mains.

Does. Not doesn't. Read.
