Didn't they just do the Pirate thing for ARAM and haven't they been doing several weekends encouraging friends to play together for bonus IP?

People advertise channels on the boards to join or group up with 5 people and get IP rewards (when these events happen).

Joining premades via those channels tend to cause wildly lopsided matchmaking due to the differences in skill level though. Straightforward double IP events make for better games because the matchmaking system doesn't have to compensate as much.

double IP events also lead to bots getting more IP=getting more $$$ for selling their accounts which have tons mroe IP. Blame the people who choose to abuse every little flaw in the game. People that abused the old glitchy leaverbuster which wouldn't ban you if you didn't pressleave the game, people that spammed the report button in the tribunal and helping to get the whole system removed for this(the one right now isn't too bad, the one before that sucked, before that was the tribunal, which was awesome. Hafta wait and see how good this system is at detecting metabreakers, bad day players, bad players, feeders, trolls, and intentional feeders), people that abused glitches, people that had dominion bots, people who in general use bots, people who script, people who hack, etc.

They did that in August and the Server move in late August.. They should do Harrows

Treeline is based on the old design philosophy, it stands out with all the new characters and in comparison to SR.

Let's not forget the map seems to be badly optimized unlike SR.

I don't think it needs as huge of an overall as SR, just clean up the textures for clarity, fix bugs, and optimize it better.

Back in 2012, around the same time they updated SR's textures and animations, yes. Crystal Scar dates from 2011.

For context, League was officially released in October 2009. Next month, TT will have officially been released closer to League's beta days than current-day. Furthermore, SR got a complete overhaul around the five-year mark. CS hits that milestone next year.

Well the Rift is fine, Howling Abyss is still fine and it has the alternate Butcher's Bridge skin, Twisted Treeline's update is now nearly 3 years old (damn) but it still looks solid imo. Only one who really needs help is Dominion.

You can use the League custom maps that Yuriyx makes. I know it's not the same but it helps from the stagnant shit SR we have now. They even recreated the Halloween Season 2 map to fit on this map we have now. I'm using it atm, it brings back memories lol.

Yep, I would love a winter map. Back then when they did stuff like season maps made me want to play the game more. Now my only motivation in competitive and that's not healthy.

When I first started playing league I heard a lot of good things about the Harrowing/Snowdown maps and was SO EXCITED to see them because Halloween is my FAVORITE HOLIDAY.

But it was the year they didn't have one. I was so sad. Then I got excited when they said they would start it up again after they redid the Rift.

So please Riot, follow through with this! I'm so excited for this upcoming October and I really want to see what the map'll look like!

I think that if they did something like that,they'd do it in a big way. They wouldn't just add some small deko to the SR,but give it a completely new map skin,similar to the butchers bridge(probably a freljord one for winter and a shadow isles one for halloween). However these maps would take a lot of time to finish,so I wouldn't get my hopes up.
