Are you just not allowed to auto attack akali when she's in her W now?

Like, at least with the old Akali W, you could complete an Auto attack if you were good enough before she went hidden again. But now it's like, the shroud is a literally zhonyas (in a sense that it's invulnerability from auto attacks) in which you can only damage akali through AoE abilities.

And for how overloaded her fucking kit is, I could give two shits what her win rate is, that's going to go up to like 53% once people start playing her the correct way. I wouldn't mind how insane her damage was, if her Q didn't give movement speed along with everything else in her kit.

I never knew true pain before I tried to auto an Akali dipping in and out of her shroud as Nautilus. Shit is like playing whac-a-mole.

You made me audibly laugh. I just imagine nautilus at a carnival playing whack-a-akali.

No, it's what people say that don't use nerd lingo by saying a neutral/bored "lol" everytime something remarkable happens.

Whack-a-kali goes way better of the thongue than wack-a-akali

Off the thongue, eh?

hhaavviikk11 votes

well you have a animation for your AA so if she goes invisible again before your animation finishes you won't attack her, it's bs I know

RyzeTheSmurfMage2 votes

It's like how I fire my E as Ryze but then she enters her shroud for 0.1 secondseconds and my E gets canceled. It doesn't make any sense.

DuskDaUmbreon10 votes

You can, just as you could before.

She's still revealed whenever she attacks.

Raiyza1 votes

Yeah except now she can effectively dive towers without any trouble.

DuskDaUmbreon1 votes

This is different from any other assassin...how?

Raiyza1 votes

It's much easier to CC down Zed and Talon under the tower than it is Akali. It's extremely tough to react quick enough when you literally cannot target her at all.

Votable Jester1 votes

Also if you cc Akali in her shroud the tower won't hit her anyways.

It may just be me, but it seems like when she attacked in her old W she was revealed for ~.5-.75 seconds (giving a fairly reasonable chance to AA or use an ability), but w/ new akali it seems like she's revealed for ~.25-.4 seconds which means you have to have a lot better reflexes (if your champ relies on targeted skills/aas).

Im probably wrong and just bad but thats what it seems like to me after playing against old/new akali

Raven Redeemed4 votes

The reveal duration was unchanged: .65 seconds.

Alex h87212 votes

Kk well thank you anyway even tho you simply confirmed that I am bad :(

Raven Redeemed3 votes

The shroud is larger now so it might feel more difficult to attacker her since she can show up in more places.

TempName548463 votes

nah she spends 2x less time revealed that's why its more difficult to attack her.

Bârd1 votes

The time it takes to restealth was unchanged, and with the new shroud she has to pop out now and then in order to have a good duration on the shroud.

TempName548461 votes

its kind of like slapping akali shroud on wukongs ultimate so every time he ults he gets a shroud, well yeah the reveal duration is the same as well as the shroud duration but wukong will still be revealed for more than twice the duration.

Bârd5 votes

This does not make nearly as much sense as you think it does.

TempName548461 votes

makes a lot more sense than you think, the amount of time she spends damaging you now compared to what she used to is much smaller.

Terozu1 votes

Well no. She would q, disappear, auto.

Now she Qs, disappears, autos.

Its just less instantaneous since she has to run through the ring first.

TempName548461 votes

before she fires Q becomes revealed, the Q hits you, she becomes revealed, she autos you, she becomes revealed, autos a second time for bonus damage passive. now she uses Q and becomes revealed, autos and becomes revealed.

about 2 sec visibility vs 1 sec.

Terozu1 votes

Umm no.

She would throw her Q. She would be revealed for the animation, then disappear. In total around .8 to 1.0 seconds. Then she would auto you to proc the mark, then diappear. In total around .8 to 1.0 seconds

So prework, about 1.6 to 2.0 second.

Now, she Qs you, then disappears, around .8 to 1.0 seconds. Now she has to run through a stationary ring, this will take 1 or 2 seconds giving you a moment to reposition and get away. Then she autos you, then disappears, around .8 to 1.0 seconds.

So rework, about 1.6 to 2.0 seconds.

The only major change is now her auto has a delay and is ranged. Letting you reposition for counter play, but you won't be given a guaranteed counter attack since you now have to run at her if you're melee.

TempName548461 votes

i'm going to go ahead and assume you have never played the new or old akali since you seem to be lacking all of the knowledge on both of them.

Terozu1 votes

Translation, "I can't properly argue this so I'm jist going to try and undermine what you said."

TempName548461 votes

translation: there is no way to argue with someone who you provide with facts that then proceeds to claim that they are untrue, clearly one of the parties is wrong and the other isn't willing to accept it.

TL;DR: you are wrong and the only way for you to see that is to do your research.

Terozu1 votes

You didbt give facts. I did.

TempName548461 votes

TL;DR: you are wrong and the only way for you to see that is to do your research.

Terozu1 votes

I did my research.

Akali takes .65 seconds to retreat into stealth.

Her Q and Auto attack animations take around .2 to .4 seconds to happen.

That has not changed.

The only major change is that theres a longer pause between qing you and autoing you. Allowing you to get away.

TempName548461 votes

you are ignoring the fact that previously akalis Q basically revealed her twice and that she had to auto attack you twice to get her passive damage compared to once now, also she had 3 ult procs before compared to two currently, all this added together it used to reveal her for double the duration to full combo you.

Terozu1 votes

Akali did not have to auto you twice. She would get her heal auto off before engaging, then have her damaging auto up to proc Q for bonus damage.

And no, her Q revealed her once, when she threw it. And thats it.

And her ult is used to finish people off, and is generally used conpletely differently then her old one, however, generally speaking shes not going to use either while staying inside her shroud. So it's a moot point trying to bring it up.

TempName548463 votes

before she would Q + auto you which would reveal her for a considerably longer, also before her Q was a slow projectile which would reveal her when she cast it and when it hit you while now its pretty much instant pretty much halving the time she spends out of stealth for a Q.

Don't cancel autos?

ThePikol5 votes

They auto cancel when she enters shroud

Swimmx3 votes

Its complete BS. I can't even flip her with Singed ever. It literally starts the process but then cancels.

No you flip her, she just most likely gets flipped back into her shroud. The flip is far too quick for her concealment to proc again after hitting you.

Sire Hippington2 votes

depends on what champ you play and how much as you have, naut will hardly hit her but renekton doesn't have issues for example. Theoretically, the reveal duration is the same 0.65sec it had before...

ThePikol2 votes

Yeah, she "outplayed" me by that when I was Kindred. Of course I couldn't E her. Wolf is too slow to react and attack an my every auto was cancelled when she entered shroud

Bârd2 votes

It's difficult, but very much possible.

Mizuhashi Paru2 votes

She could do that before as well, heck even better with the blink. Also I assume you have been an ADC, what do you have to do close to an Akali anyways?!

Akali is SO HOT2 votes

From reading a lot of these comments it seems that a lot of people don't know how auto attacks work

TeCoolMage1 votes

Yeah, I think invisibility should be changed so that it doesn't cancel point and click, and it still launches the projectile unless the player cancels (if they can).

Oh god I'm siding with point and click mechanics and removing their counterplay (albeit only as BS champions in an unfair way...), what has this world come to

Terozu1 votes

If the projectile launches it doesnt cancel it will still hit her in shroud...

TeCoolMage1 votes

Yes but you should be able to launch the projectile in the first place

Terozu1 votes

You can...

TeCoolMage1 votes

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u1MdPVoWJnA

here's a melee (i.e. even less ways to dodge if you're already in range) ability being cancelled by invisibility. Flash can't do that so it's not the mobility

Terozu1 votes

...its called those attacks arent being launched.

You launch projectiles. You do not launch a sword swing.

TeCoolMage1 votes

yes, it's called those attacks arent being launched.

and they should be launched.
