If you say "Open Mid" in the first 5 minutes, I'm reporting you.

I don't care whos team you're on, you're creating a very lame, dull, noncompetitive environment and I will report you, and pray to the Dark Lord that you actually get banned. Spineless players that give up in the first 5 minutes over the smallest mishaps early game are by far the worst people to play with.

If our team has two AFKs by the 5 minute mark, I don't really see the point in trying to continue the game. May as well just end it early and avoid tilting too badly from it.

Otherwise, I'll just play the game out. I've won games where everybody lost lane and the enemy was about 15k gold ahead of us and we just kept stalling until we won a teamfight 4-0. After that, we shoved down mid-lane and ended the game before they respawned.

Only if they were AFK for one and a half minutes before 3:00 and nobody died before they DCed.

This won't catch everybody, especially not if they ragequit after an early death or early in the laning phase.

I think the only time I've actually "opened mid" was during an ARAM in which we were missing a person from the very start. In that case, I asked my team and everyone agreed to it.

The "nobody died" isn't completely true, it's been changed to "they didn't die"... I think... it's all rather confusing now, but I know they changed how it works.

Unless they get 1st blooded and RQ, this had happened to me before and we just opened mid. It happens once in a while, Ragers be ragin. There is no need to waste 20+ mins of 8 people's time fighting a 3v5 match.

i report only people who int feed or go afk. if somebody says stupid shit i just mute him. nobody should lose his account to something like that.

Quort2 votes

Depending on what they're saying. If they're just a little cocky, that's fine. If they're spewing slurs and verbally harassing other players, then I'll definitely be reporting them.

Neidox2 votes

Someone that gives up 5 minutes in most likely lost the match for their team, and will most likely get more toxic as the game goes on. League doesn't need these type of players.

Dominick Destine4 votes

Grandmaster chess players will tip over their king when they know the match is over.

Ariel the Cruel2 votes

Grandmaster Players don't generally have 4 teammates chomping at the bit for any opportunity to blame everything on someone else (and make liberal use of the report function). In this respect at least, I prefer Chess.

RocketRelm2 votes

The time they tip the king over is usually farther into the game than 5 moves.

I'm a 0/18/0 Shen VS a 26/0/1 Akali. 5 minutes in.

I think it's safer just to call it now.

The real question is how didn't someone say "maybe mid needs some help after the first death or two. I understand that after that its like mid is lost lets go elsewhere.

Wimbledofy2 votes

so how you die 18 times in 5 minutes? Tp and 2 revives?

Ariel the Cruel2 votes

After the 13th kill, she just started camping in our base for efficiency. ;p

Akali "You thought this was your base? Nope."

Odinakos1 votes

Yeah you won because your 600cs jungle tryndamere just secured Elder Dragon after 3 infernal 3 mountains ofc and now he has become a splitpush god.

Ariel the Cruel2 votes

All hail Windamere!

Is it even mathematically possible to die 18 times in 5 minutes?

I mean, according to the League Wiki, death timer for the first 15 mins is = Level x 2.5 + 7.5. So, at level 1 your death timer is 10 seconds. Say they died 3 times at level 1. That's 30 seconds. At level 2, your death timer would be 12.5. Say They died 5 times at level 2. That's 62.5 seconds. Total of 92.5 seconds. Level 3, death timer is 15. Another 5 deaths at level 3 would be 75 seconds. Total now of 167.5 seconds. If they died the rest of the times at level 4 (5 deaths x 17.5 seconds each = 87.5 seconds), they would have a total death time of 255 seconds. That's 4 minutes and 15 seconds. Just in death timers. That leaves only 45 seconds to walk down the lane 18 times...which I'm not sure is possible.

Even if they never reached level 2, 18 deaths of level 1 death timers would alone be 180 seconds, or 3 mins spent dead. How long does it take to walk down the lane?

I feel like there is some exaggeration happening here.

Ariel the Cruel2 votes

She just hung out in our base and started killing us under spawn turret. Much more efficient.

I Go Pew Pew Pew1 votes

Yes, but 18 deaths is a MINIMUM of 3 minutes spent dead. That's if they never got past level 1, which is unlikely. Plus the time til first death, which is usually quite longer than the rest. Say their first death was at a minute. That means they died 17 more times in 60 seconds of gameplay. I find that highly unlikely.

I would love to see the match history link. I would gladly stand corrected if true lol. But, until then, I call bullshit.

Ariel the Cruel2 votes

I got assaulted by their team before getting to lane.

Ariel, I'm disappointed. Shen wins that matchup hands down.

Ariel the Cruel2 votes

I blame Windamere. (>_>)

No excuse is good enough for Shenpai's attention. You have not earned his notice this day.

If you're a 0/18/0 Shen against a 26/0/1 Akali, I'd report you for other reasons.

Bro? Totally worth, man. Like, Totally!

Agreed I report players with a negative or defeatist attitude. It's not healthy for the game even if you're losing try to enjoy the game. No reason to complain and just give up completely.

That's one of the few thinfs that actually make me report people. Flaming trolling is fine but as soon as your start fucking with team morale I will report your ass.

Be supportive and. Positive at all times, doesn't matter if your winning or losing

but guess where these players learned this habit? You guessed it right! High elo streamers/Pro players. Wow, if only these people were better role models. Incoming downvotes because thats how the community works.

Neidox2 votes

Its true though, I've watched streamers on occasions and there is always someone who calls out "Open Mid" sometimes its even the "pro" streamers.

TyrekGoldenspear3 votes

What does it mean when someone says open mid?

Extrasolar6 votes

It means they've given up. "Open Mid" means "I'm going to let the enemy team push all the way to the base, take the Nexus, and not to anything to help."

Blumpkin Nation3 votes

When I say open mid, I usually am advertising the space between my legs. Don't report me.

HaloDragonX3 votes

If you're 0/5 in 5 minutes in, I'd say open mid because that's a loss. You can't report people for speaking their mind and suggesting surrender.

Don't die 5 times in 5 minutes then. I don't know how that would be possible; whoever does that is intentionally feeding. Now I can see someone dying 5 or more times before twenty minutes; that is someone on tilt or someone that doesn't know their matchup.

There is not enough time in any of our real lives to deal with dynamic queue.

I've seen variations of this argument a few times. So I'm just going to re-iterate. Normals has always had dynamic queue. This is nothing new to the Unranked-Master-Race. Not everybody is flipping out over it.

Hello I am Bird2 votes

But there wasn't the competitive integrity in normals (For most people) that there was in ranked.

Melledoneus2 votes

This whole "premades are ruining my ranked games" is the new "YoloQ" of the community.

Hello I am Bird1 votes

I personally don't care much one way or another, but comparing normal to ranked in this case is kinda silly

Ariel the Cruel1 votes

Nah, I just get annoyed when people make a fuss and call it unplayable (or something similar). Dynamic queue is not new. Not everyone is is pissed off about it. Stop lumping us all together.

Hello I am Bird1 votes

Fair enough I suppose c:

AMYS GRAVE1 votes

normals didn't always have new champ select and with that came adjustments to matchmaking in order to deal with queue times that ncs changed.

Ariel the Cruel1 votes

Champ select is not Dynamic queue.

AMYS GRAVE1 votes

right, but normals matchmaking was affected by preseason changes. that was more my point.

Unstoppable Monk1 votes

I think people need to know the difference between not winning and never going to win.

Its not really defeatist when you're trying to not tilt in order to win the next time instead of having a soul crushing one hour game that you can't win.

Neidox2 votes

Thats why you surrender at 20, how can anyone know the outcome of a game at 5minutes.
