Yes, this. You have an assassin that supposedly has high risk and maybe not reliable escape but high burst. You have a mage that has high burst but is maybe slow and regulated by cd. Then you have vayne, all of that mage/assassin burst but is not slow, has a shorter cd than the mages, can still go invis and escape if needed after the kill, and outside of her skill still has reliable good dps and extra bonus against tanks/bruisers which should be the assassin killers. She doesn't have the drawback she once did.

CrimsonCobra31 votesI've been playing her recently, and I think that because the CC engage tanks have come into the meta so powerfully, she's actually suffering a little. (It's true I'm not great at her ult + tumble yet, and I often forget they have absolutely no way of seeing me if I do, but I don't think that's why Vi and such have been murdering me.)
It could be that I'm bad (I know at least 40% of it's that I usually play Jinx), but I've done decently well in most of my games as Vayne, I just couldn't win the game. So I don't think it's too bad. Probably a small nerf could be in order for her Q damage late-game, but her early game is weak enough that it should be fine.

CrimsonCobra31 votesAs a note, the system counts damage strangely. That could have been several tumbles she landed on you, and it still would have said only one. (Just like it counts all damage from autos, etc.) So that would be helpful to know. If you want to let us know, you have the new replay system you can use if you want to.

CrimsonCobra31 votesIt's not that I disbelieve you, but you have an excellent tool now that could show us exactly what happened. Everything, including what you could have done, whether or not you could see her, etc. And to my knowledge, there's no downside to using it either. If you can upload a picture to third party site, it shouldn't be too hard to upload the webm. (Educate me if there are issues, but I don't know of any.)

azrolator1 votesAt least this vayne didn't build 5 ad crit items. I'd have replaced that phantom dancer with a reaver. 300 more damage off a Q crit. Same for that shiv. You get the same 300 damage off shiv proc crit but you can't shiv proc twice in under 2 seconds.
With your resist it looks like she didn't proc a shiv crit and she didn't do a normal aa on you. So she probably hit you for 1 crit q and 1 non crit q. If she was ulted then the damage from her build would be around 2100 in that scenario which looks closer to your damage given your armor.
If she built a 5 item AD crit build then a q crit and non crit q would have been 2500. Q crit plus aa crit would be 2800. Any squishy is going to be dead in a crit AD build before vayne even gets to the 3rd shot unless they get some shielding or armor buff. Your 6th item is deadmans so you can ult and rush the squishies, you get even more damage from the q and the engage speed is faster than boots with a little survivability. I think at this point Riot needs to decide whether to remove the w passive or scale back the q buffs. She is a tank killer and an assassin. One champ should not be both.

It just seems like there are number of these 100-0 one hit champs. Yeah, that's great filming from the ROFLcopter but it really is not fun to play against.
It's not just assassins either. Some champs, once they get ahead, just seem to have big power spikes. I had a recent game with a Syndra who scored early kills against our midlane, then basically spent the rest of the game roaming and 100-0 killing everyone except for our tank (who had enough MR and health to run away).
No that isn't a call to nerf Syndra. This seems to be more of a general balance problem with the game at the moment.

Obviously you have never played against Viktor. Q Auto deletes anyone after 25 mins.
