The only mage I enjoy is Vlad, and he can hardly be classified among Ahri, Vel'Koz, Xerath, Viktor, Lux, etc. Hell, I've even been in threads stating that RoA and Rylai's were overloaded in stats, considering what the passives were supposed to do.
You just make bad arguments and remember people that argue back, although Akatsuki only ever bitches about mages (Azir), and is generally just saying 'you're wrong' and calling you a 'salty hater' without giving any reasonings.
Nobody else argues with you because they know you're too stubborn to admit you're wrong, or you just plain make arguments that aren't worth countering.
I just come here when I'm bored and don't have enough time to fill with something important.

Xerath is one of the few champions that does well against her.
You need to respect your lack of mobility vs. hers though and be careful, especially when she pops Ghost.

Edit: Maple did a really good job dealing with her as Aurelion Sol against Faker, watch that match to see how to deal against her (50% of the job is predict her ultimate and turn away).

Cassiopeia has better waveclear than Xerath.

You outrange her so you can safely farm without losing tower, and you have the CC to impede her when she gets close. I admit she's one of my least favorite mages but holy shit at least know why she's dumb and it's not because of Xerath.

Idk where you are ranked but it takes time for this stuff to trickle down. For example, i spectated my silver friend and they're still banning Gragas lol.
