Malz's win rate has been in the 1-3 spot for a while now

I remember when ahri was at number 1 or so and then she got nerfed so her win rate plummeted but yet malz stayed untouched while being so strong? It's been at least 3 patches if my memory is correct. There is literally nothing fun about "Hey you cant move while I 100-0 you" It's fucking gross. And there isn't counterplay. Oh sorry you want me to build on lulu? Yeah that's logical to me :^) And for most mid laners it stifles their build so much because it only builds into an ad item which is just great because ap itemization doesn't. already. suck. Like yay fun gameplay whooo healthy balance wheeeeeeee

Comparing Malz to Ahri? Let him sit on his win rate for a few more years and then come back and repost this in season 9.

I was comparing that people were so quick to give ahri the gut treatment. I would take ahri of any season over malz right now.

Well, Malzahar's playrate cannot be compared to what Ahri has. Even when Malzahar was at his strongest, Ahri still had a higher playrate. The thing is, when Ahri had a high winrate, she had a high playrate too. Malzahar, despite having a high winrate, has a low playrate. This is important because it shows that Malzahar is more of a niche pick and we can't really be sure that he needs nerfs. Ahri, on other hand, was clearly overtuned before those nerfs.

Ahri is actually interactive for the mostpart.

Malz all point-and-click outside of his Q, which you pretty much automatically hit once you get rylai's.

Plus even though Ahri has maintained a stable winrate over time, it's never been as high as Malz's right now. Plus she has counterplay

As a malz main all I can say to you that would stop malz’s braindead rampage is rod of ages, banshees veil, qss, fizz or a roaming twisted fate that rushed rod of ages. Honestly my brain dead thinking cant handle those items or champions sometimes.
