You shouldn't get paired with horrible teammates. Let the downvotes begin but honestly it's stupid that i start going back into the groove of things and start doing better and winning more. Just to be paired with a bronze 1, and an unranked player? Go look at my 16/4/2 kat game, i did exceptionally well. The best on my team and i was the only one who went better than even. Everyone else was just feeding. Like ? How is that fair to me as a player? And if you say "oh well the other team must've had bad players too" then you are wrong. Sure the yasuo was bad in my eyes but they were all S5+. Fix your bullshit matchmaking please /endrant

EDIT- Go look at my match history. i went from 0 lp to promos and then got really bad teammates that were clearly below my mmr

I played rank 38 games of ranked in season 5 which I never play ranked and got bronze haven't touched ranked since and I still have my rakan winstreak ignore even tho I lost with the rene and ekko games i didn't play yesterday was busy with work so i will post if i lose or not once i play today

gets multiple 30% win rate "plat 5" players who have literally 12wins and 3x losses on their account. last loss? perfect description - 0/11 silver 2 adc whos in a duo with the jungler who can neither last hit, nor can win a game apparently, they were 2-8 after placements. BUT GOT PLACED IN SILVER 2.

I don't know if i just got lucky or if i actually "broke" the system but dodging every second game after a win lead me to a 20 games winning streak. It took unbelievably long to climb thanks to the punishment you receive for dodging but i did avoid these trash games i currently have for more than 20 games. It's just so sad how i get downvoted for stating the truth in other threads. This whole system is just unreal. In my last 20 ranked games i had 5 ragequits. Intfeeders and what not. Games where i did 50k dmg and every single member of my team 18k in a 40 minute game, all last season "diamonds". I watch several high elo streamers who after getting a bit higher than previous season suddenly dropped SO frickin hard with sheer unwinnable games. Sola for example dropped from master and a few lp to dia 4 30 lp in just two days. Boards would tell him he just plays "inconsistent" and he got "unlucky" when the equivalent would be a gold 1 dropping to bronze in a few days. "inconsistent" my ass. "Bad luck" my ass. Kevin dropped as well from Challenger to master 0lp close to demotion to dia 1 in a few days as well and i watched his games. Consistently getting matched with dias as challenger, absolutely intfeeding trash you wouldn't expect to be so high up there.

This needs to be addressed.

I think we should start making daily threads about this and flood the board with them.

It makes no sense for this to happen. If you're doing well the deck should NOT be stacked against you.

Overall MMR should be the only consideration that determines team mates not this phantom win/loss streak MMR bullshit.

It's riot's way of controlling win percentages in my opinion. If you are on a winning streak, it's safe to say you probably have been playing well. So, instead of doing the proper thing and putting you up against (same lane) a tougher opponent, maybe someone who has also been on a winning streak, they kind of steal the show from you and give people that are just bad or are on a bad losing streak. It all correlates to their magic "50%" win percentage number. Just like balancing champions, they try to get as close to 50% as possible. So, unfortunately, I would recommend to just expect it. You win 3-4 in a row, you're going to get worse teammates, not face fiercer opponents.

Both would work to make a game balanced by MMR. Either your opponents get better or your team mates become worse or some combination of the two. However, you clearly do face better opponents and not just receive worse allies. We see this with challenger smurfs, who can go on very long win streaks, say 30+ games long. With 30 games, they'll probably be somewhere in D5 (conservative estimates here). On their 30th game, they're not playing with Bronze 5 allies because "Riot keeps giving them worse team mates" for every successive win they get. They're instead playing against players in D1+ while being D5.

I had the same thing happening to me this season. I was plat 5 before placements, Went back gold 3 after placements, Had ~65% winrate and a huge winstreak of 15 games, went up to plat 3 quite fast. I was winning 30 LP per win, losing 15 per loss.

Then it happened. Broken matchmaking streak. Literally each lane in my team would get destroyed, as in bronze vs. diamond lanes, while I was doing good, but nothing I could do. Went back to plat 5 0 LP. Now my MMR is tanked "Bad", and despite winrate > 50%, I am still winning ~16 LP, losing ~22 LP.

So I just stopped League for a while.

Looking back, I don't know if it is match-making or me tilting. I don't know because even though I always had nice KDA / kill participation / dmg to champ / dmg tanked, etc, etc... I know that many good players climb many account to challenger, so I don't think elo hell exist.

Still, this happens and frustrates me: When your MMR is high, match-making doesn't match you with higher MMR against higher MMR. It seems like instead, match-making match you with low MMR against high MMR, kind of to compensate. And it leads to unpleasant game, for everybody.

I agree.. matchmaking is horrible. In my second to last ranked game I've played almost a month ago, I a silver 4/3 was paired against Diamond 5..

Explain to me how that works riot when I also had a bronze 5 on my team..

Just finished a game a minute ago. won 3 out of last 4 games.

So as per "fair and accurate" matchmaking, I get an unranked support who has not won a single ranked game yet out of 5, averages 11 deaths per game in my team...and his duo adc is on a 9 game losing streak himself. :D A fresh out of placement games jungler, 4-8 win loss. <3.

So much skill matched....

Matchmaking doesnt intentionally fuck you. Matchmaking closes its eyes dips its hand into the queue pool and grabs a random 10 players and splits them into 2 groups of 5. Then it throws you into the game without ever opening its eyes.
