The Hidden Angel of Death
Alright summoners, I'm going to let you in on a secret.
There is a champion that is ludicrously easy to play, requires almost no gold, and spikes so hard mid game that their win rate gets to almost 58%. The only mechanic you need to have is being able to walk and attack at the same time, and sometimes press your ability keys. This champion is completely anti assassin, while carrying incredibly hard themselves.
Not only does this champion play in a currently low population role (top), but they have a 1.5% play rate and a .4% ban rate, so its almost a surefire bet that you will be able to play them in any game. I abused the heck out of this champion to climb from gold 3 to plat 5 in 3 days at the end of the season, and just to win tons of games aside from that. Even this champ's supposed counters have seriously unfavorable stats backing them, with her biggest counter keeping her at a 50% win rate, and the second place has her at a 57% win rate! As a counter!
Enough mystery, its Kayle.
This flaming-sword wielding angel of death is the definition of solo carry. It does not matter how badly your team is doing (well, it kinda does), as long as you get your three core items you can carry any game almost by yourself. Nashor's with greaves, rageblade, and rylais along with the right rune and mastery setup will net you the easiest games you will ever experience.
I will go over a brief run down of how lane goes with Kayle for those of you who haven't played her before.
From levels 1 to 3, push as hard as you possibly can. Have your e active, and just shove. Prioritize last hitting, but make sure if the enemy laner steps anywhere near his creeps, to either auto him or the creeps for free splash damage. Around 2:45, put a ward down in river and push into tower for a reset. For the next 3 levels, use your e to cs, harass a little, but do not push. Odds are, the jungler will be on your case at this point, and kayle is very easy to gank. Once you're 6, the risk goes away a bit. When you have the gold, go back and grab either greaves or stinger, depending on how the lane is going (bad=greaves, good=stinger). From here, keep farming and harassing your lane opponent, and if they get low enough, kill them.
One important note: Kayle ultimate is NOT Tryndamere ultimate. If you see a spell or attack that is going to chunk you considerably, ult. The more damage you block, the more use you got out of it. Do not always wait until the last second to ult. That's a very bad strategy for Kayle.
Skill max order e>w>q Run fervor for keystone, other masteries focus on attack speed Runes lookup on champion.gg, but its basically all attack speed with 20% cdr at level 18.
Happy climbing, summoners. -Ohana
