Like seriously, ask anyone in high elo. They all HATE playing versus Nidalee because of her power when someone good at her is playing her. I don't even understand how she's considered balanced other than the fact that she takes some brain to play, but regardless, just because she's "difficult" to play doesn't mean she should be a champion you can rarely lose on. I don't even think I need to go into detail about her kit, because most of you already know.

Heck, Rush said this on stream too..

as only a gold player. i dont see many good nidalees. but when i do. you literally. never win. there isn't a whole lot you can do unless you have a champion that completely counters her on your team.

her cds are a little too low for a burst assassin. she doesn't blow off a 60 cd ult to kill someone. like most assassins

If the game was balanced around low elo (thank god it's not) I don't think Nid would have received any nerfs since her rework.

agreed, why does she have a heal with a steroid on it?

unless they removed the steroid and I didn't notice but still, a heal on dat kit? maybe added hp5 or lifesteal or a power steroid but a big ol heal is kinda annoying

No. It has a high mana cost, so she has to choose wisely when to use it. I think it's just fine.

see that's what blue buff and runic echoes are for you silly goose, she has plenty of mana sustain mid game and her heal only costs 120, considering we can compare that to a fiddle drain and her other mana costs (considering she has only 3 mana costs in her entire kit with 2 of them being 60 and 90 mana level 5) the mana cost isn't that bad. Especially if you consider it has a 60% attack speed steroid attached to the thing.

EDIT: the sustain of course coming from runic echoes, my point being if even fiddle can sustain in the jungle spamming a 120 mana ability constantly for his jungle clear and self sustain she can do fine come that point in the game!

I know bud. I still have problems with early clear on her and mana. But still her cost is high compared to others, and it does make the player have to use it wisely.

She doesn't need more nerfs in my opinion, but for whatever stupid reason Riot likes to balance around high elo so they have nerfs on the PBE already. Fucking pisses me off but whatever. She will just go to trash in lower elo because of it.

You guys wanted the spears toned down... so Riot went and gave us back season 2 terror nidalee that was even stronger than spear chucker nidalee from season 4.

You will not always have a late game. In fact against Nida, it is very hard to reach late game when she pressures you so much early.

they give her jungle..

oh her jungle is too strong..

mid and top and support winrates drop to below 40%..

I mean her spears are annoying but she has a very linear kill pattern.

Spear you, then leap at you as a cougar, swipe swipe then leap out if in danger or if she made the kill.

She had a dash bit no blinks or crazy mobility (sorry if I'm an idiot here and if she has a low cooldown on her leap or something.)

So what's the problem? I can really only see her spear chunking you from far away.

The problem is that she chooses when to fight, and there's almost nothing you can do about it. I mean yeah you can dodge the spears but you are bound to get hit by one eventually. Even if you never got hit by a spear, you still can't engage on her because of her leap. And yes it has a TINY cd. Same with her spear. And all her abilities in cougar have a tiny cd as well so even if she doesn't kill you immediately after jumping on you, she isn't out of steam and can just spear you again (which resets her cat form cooldown) and then execute you. It's stupid.

She also has incredible clear time and tons of map control, and ridiculously safe counterjungling etc. She just has too much. She also gets super tanky lol.

Same can be said for any champ in a main's hand. Literally any champ can be brain dead OP if someone is good at them. Why is Nid any different?

All honesty though I've never seen a high elo game with a Nid in it so I can't say for myself what I think about how she shits on people in those games, but still she's a champ many can lose on.

No, it can't be. Which would you rather have, a good Kalista or a good Nidalee? There's no competition. EVERY single person up there hates playing versus nidalee. I know that when she does badly she's useless as hell, but pretty much every champ is; and you're right, each champ can be scary when mastered. But at least they have windows of oppertunity to fight back to an exent - Me being a Veigar main, people capitalize on me when my stun is down all the time for example. Another one I'll throw out is say Zed, whenever he uses his W, people punish him. But Nidalee? She doesn't have any of that.

Nid does have a certain window to fight against, especially if she misses her spear- that drastically reduces her pounce range, and besides flash that's her only escape. Many people have punished me for missing it, and I do miss a few each game I play her.

Zed's window is very small, and even if he misses his W, he's more likely than not to be in a range where you can't get to him anyway, unless you are playing one that is long ranged too.

The difference between Yasuo and Zed with Nidalee is pretty different.

When Zed uses his shadow (W), his lack of defense becomes significantly apparent.

When Yasuo uses his wind wall, his lack of defense becomes apparent as well.

With Nidalee, she misses a spear....ok? That closes her offensive window of opportunity for a measle 5 seconds. But nothing actually changes in a window of opportunity to attack her with. She still has pounce, yes the range is reduced on it without the spear, but that's only relevant if she's going on the offensive. She still has her heal.

She doesn't give up anything defensively when she uses her spear. Unlike Zed with his Shadow and Yasuo with his Wind Wall.
