The Assassin Main and the Soraka
I just had a game, linked below.
We started off so badly with both top and mid feeding. I was playing 
and managed to get my 
ahead by using Equinox to stop 
and 
from trading correctly while healing Ashe. So we got our first double kill. Then the enemy mid, a 
comes down and tries to gank as she is fed.
So I equinox her ult, exhaust her (like I would any assassin) and she dies before she can get her damage combo off. She then absolutely rages at me, telling me to "Stop that s**t, Soraka", to which I respond "It's my job". She spends the whole game flaming me and then going AFK at the end when we manage to pull the mother of all comebacks and win the game as I am able to heal 
constantly and let him engage onto the enemy team.
is still yelling abuse at me.
It got me thinking. Is this the reason that Assassin mains hate her so much, because she can interfere with their combos and their usually high damage? It makes me laugh when people say that Soraka needs a nerf because she is about the only assassin counter left in the game and she usually gets focused hard in teamfights regardless because of the mobility of assassins in the first place?
So why are assassins so toxic about her. I have seen this several games now. Soraka is a perfectly reasonable counter to a creeping damage meta.
