Anybody here play Mordekaiser and willing to give some tips?

I love to play Mordekaiser, he is really fun to me and I love his ult synergy with DFT, Rylais, Liandrues, and Ludens.

I was wondering what main role I should be playing him in? Should I go mid, top, jungle, or bottom lane?

What is ideal to max?

I dont have much IP so what runes should I get?

What masteries are ideal?

What kind of build should I typically have? I like the items I stated above because you can ult the ADC then walk away while spamming spells to get Ludens to proc on them killing the enemy with just your ult.

I prefer him in a solo lane, especially top.

Max Order's E>Q>W but your skilling order should be E->W->Q in most lanes except riven where you go E->Q->W

I like Magic pen reds, health/level seals, ability power/level glyphs and MS quints.

A pure AP build isn't as effective anymore. Sustained damage hybrid builds tend to work out perfectly but in the end it comes down to your personal preference. My preferred build's this one though and it's very effective. item 3116 item 3053 item 3146 item 3065 item 3157

Solo lane top is a great place for him. Rushing Rylai's most of the time. I like to max abilities in this order: R>E>W>Q You don't have to max Q first/second because it doesn't get all that much stronger, rather low CD. Agaisnt squishy laners, I max Q before W to zone them.

Thunderlords is a good option on him due to the insane damage/all-ins. Grasp of the Undying is fantastic for quick trades and massive sustain. DFT isn't needed because Mordekaiser shouldn't build full AP (he is a Juggernaut).

Item build: • Rylais • Sterak's • Sorc Boots • Hextech Gunblade • Zhonya's • Spirit Visage

Runes: • Hybrid pen. marks • Scaling HP seals/scaling armor seals • Scaling MR glyphs/scaling AP glyphs •MS quints

Those runes cost a lot, so if you want a more universal tune page, here is one for you • Magic pen. marks •Flat armor seals •MR glyphs •MS quints

This build gives Mordekaiser CC, tons of healing, hybrid damage, and durability. This build let's Morde become quite tanky and demolish squishies. Zhonya's and Sterak's makes a gorgeous combo of survivability.

From a pure balance standpoint, bot lane is probably still his strongest position but finding a support that actually knows how to play with a Morde is rare enough that simply playing him top lane is usually more reliable.
