Zeds needs a revert on his Ult

As you may all know Zed awhile back got his ult changed to where places a shadow from which he casted his ult. Instead of its older version being he places a shadow where he lands on his target. If riot reverted this it would significantly reduce his tower diving potential where he can go in get out in a blink of an eye. He'd have more burst as his ults shadow would be next to him. But he wouldn't be able to revert in an instant out of tower diving. THis would reduce the amount of annoying complaints riot gets about Zed being OP when in reality he doesn't bring much to a team besides roaming and split pushing. In team fights he's jsut kinda there and plays the clean up role. People just like to complain cause he has a very good laning phase. Which some people believe that a champion shouldn't have a strong laning phase. But if you remove that from Zed then he kinda's useless unless he roams. Reverting his ult back would still keep his great laning phase but would significantly reduce his safety when tower diving. Which seems to be the big issue with people.

Wouldn't Zed still be able to pull off that trick via throwing his W shadow back?

Tis a nice day1 votes

Least he won't be able to use his W to further his tower dive or as a bonus escape tool.

next thing you know, he simply places down a regular shadow ult in and kill you and warp back to his shadow and nothing really changed but what button he presses to gtfo like cmon we has more than one of these fking things u know

yeah but it eliminates at least one potential get our of jail free card and requires the Zed user to actually THINK.

Right now he can use his W to close the gap on you after he ults making it even more difficult to escape his damage. At least with a revert he can't close in on you anymore.

THIS. So many zeds use his shadow to get close, then ult and if things get crappy he just presses R. His ult needs to be changed. Even if this is all that happened I would be happy, but he needs some damage/mobility tweaks too

I feel like a nerf to his damage would ultimately gut him. The only reason he does well is because he picks up extra gold from excelling at what he was made to do: Killing others

If you never actually die to Zed at all, he's actually pretty easy to beat out. If you get him to 25% hp and he ults you, most of the time he will just E-Q then R back instantly because he's panicking. I realized that all you have to do is step to the side and you can easily avoid his Q or even step forward and chase him down for the kill.

Just reduce the projectile speed on his Q

Reducing safety to increase damage.

This wouldn't fix much and there would still be issues, but it could be a good start

Maybe Janna mains shouldn't have complained about Zed's sticking power on release.

I don't really care tbh, like other people said just simply place a W behind. In fact this would be a buff for me because with full health you could potentially turretdive and instakill a anybody at 3/4 health early game and get out alive taking like 1-2 turret shots AND i won't majorly fail and miss my W shadow after ulting under turret and fuck up.

See the thing about placing your shadow behind you versus just ulting back is that about most average Zed players would fuck up. Would make him harder to play balancing this idea that "ZED is OP" even though in my personal opinion he isn't that OP as many people think he provdies split pushing to a team and roaming but he doesn't do much in fights as he's just kinda clean up. He also requires his entire combo on someone to kill someone usually without his ult he jsut sits and farms so he's not this constant fear tha tyou gonna get killed every time you try to farm in lane if zeds ults down
