The biggest gameplay patch in Leagues history is on Wednesday, CALM DOWN ABOUT BALANCE TILL THEN

Yes Twitch is OP, Adcs are bullshit, bot lane has too much impact, Galio's dumb, etc. etc.

But the biggest patch LoL has ever seen is in like 3 days, and its going to change the game MASSIVELY; Its why Riot didn't do much in terms of balance for the past few patchs, because EVERYTHING is going to change when runes hit. Just wait.

(Its also going to be pre-season, when things are crazy; So don't be surprised when shit hits the fan)

EDIT: SEems a lot of people don't get the point of the post, new runes wont FIX everything, its just going to be a big enough change that theres no reason to complain about things on live as they are now, cause they're already going to be incredibly different once runes hit. Complain when runes hit live, not now because it doesn't help anything.

You don't get the point. It doesn't matter how many impactful changes happen; the problem is the direction of the game's balance over the last years and mainly this season.

The balance team as changed heavily their concept of "balance". The old balance concept of league as avoid big changes and inserting toxic mechanics (healing items, new damage mechanics) in the game, trying to make something weak stronger or something strong weaker with number tweaks and some small changes, while constantly nerfing stuff to avoid or diminish [X] creep problems. The game as more slow paced and strategically, as well more balanced.

The actual balance concept of riot is inserting heavy and very impactful changes to make the game more exciting to play. Is the concept of OP vs OP: supports got redemption and locket, AD assassins got Draktharr's reworked passive damage (even thought their burst was delayed, still a damage increase), Tanks got Stoneplate and other strong changes to their damage, and ADC's got a more effective and fast paced power curve with the gold price reduction in their items (as well benefit from supports). The problem of this OP vs OP concept is clear: Power creep and intensification of champion pyramid or meta priority, as well other problems such as shorter games, invalidation of entire classes, etc.

This new balance concept will not change anytime soon my friend. So even after the runes, we'll still have the same or similar problems due to the balance team's direction. I don't wanna be that "conspiracy theory" guy, but we all know why riot made this game more fast paced and intense.

As someone who has been playing on the PBE you are in a world of pain.

Dark Harvest is a keystone that shouldn't exist.

Bruisers are even worse now. i.e there isn't a decent replacement for losing Fervor

Tanks have really shitty Keystone options. Also the resolve tree is objectively weaker than the damage trees.

Certain junglers are going to really suffer in skirmishes/ganks because lack of AS vs champions.

I could think of more problems that I've already noticed but I think you get the point.

Edit: Arcane Comet is not a suitable replacement for DFT I don't care what Riot says.

Yeah! Let's pretend everything is right and provide no feedback whatsoever, so we can make a quiet transition into fixing absolutely nothing.

My take on it is that we are in the calm before the storm.

I'm not going to blame the balance team or anything, but this is a major overhaul and some champions and runes are going to be out of whack for a few months. Particularly those who don't have a nice keystone rune to go to.

I swear, Runes Reforged is gonna completely break the meta.

Im kinda annoyed that there're like 3 out of 5rune playstyles with primary damage ,while there's only one for tanks and one for utility.

What they need to do is reset all of the balances back to season 1. That will make everyone cry for a whole new reason.

You all don't get the point, all you guys need to do is go to uninstall a program on your pc, second find league of legends, then click uninstall, and damn you found out how to fix the unstableness in league.

Synnx711/5/2017, 8:22:29 AM6 votes

Yea i don't worry, cuz its gonna break up the game even more than it already is

I mean, The Boards are little more than an Echo Chamber of people complaining about whatever's popular that month.

Every now and then however, a couple nicely structured posts show up. I think that it's important that Riot gets info from the player base about what works and what doesn't.

So: Do expect complaining posts about Balance, and I think it's a healthy thing. But don't expect the majority to make much sense. it's more about finding the couple good ones what's gonna be hard.
