Riot's Approach to Balance is Like a Child Trying to Cut Hair

Woodakoodashooda··1 votes·802 views

The child tries to even out the hair, but overdoes it on one side of the head so they have to cut more off the opposite end, but they overdo it again and the cycle continues until the head is left nearly bald with few remaining patches of hair.

With Riot, they try to add damage to things to even things out across the playing field. But then some classes get outclassed in damage and so those classes get more damage, and the cycle continues and has continued.

And just like a child cutting hair badly, Riot isn't the one hurt by their actions, it's the recipients of the changes. The person who received the bad haircut, the players who have to endure the bad changes if they wish to continue playing the game.

Yea, cause when they step softly (graves 3 ad) people bitch for months even if it worked! Riot cannot do right on balancing because some people will complain either way.

Right? Graves only got that nerf and I’ve found it manageable to go against him now. Same thing with the LB number decreases.

You're saying this a day or two after they revealed that they are going to buff forbidden idol, an item that has been complained about for years because it has a shield/heal boost.

Explain to me how that is adding damage to the game.

I think it's more we are the children not understanding the bigger picture of gameplay changes.
