Please stop Riot....

After seeing all the bogus in 8.4 I've finally decided that enough is enough and I'm going to voice my concerns.

Riot....Riot, Riot, Riot. Please, can they stop skewing itemisation diversity even further? Like come on, the support changes were enough, don't do this to every other lane (especially jungle). We don't want an all-in-one smite item, we want options. As for the AP itemisation rework it's completely unneeded and some Morello nerfs and Rabadon's buffs would suffice.

Regarding the overall game it's a mess. Despite most people with a brain informing Riot that Stopwatch, Zoe and ADCs are blatantly overpowered there has been little to no significant change to any of them apart from ADCs getting the entire support item tree changed. Zoe has honestly seen no major nerf, especially to her damage (which Riot has agreed is overtuned), and Stopwatch honestly didn't get nerfed at all besides the fact that now you actually have to think about which item you want for free....

Another point to address is the muddle that is top lane. Where the hell is the BRUISER KEYSTONE and why have we not got it yet? Riot promised we'd see it, so where is it?

Moving on from that there's the topic of tanks, jungle presence and overall sustain in top lane. Despite the large top lane champion pool almost all of them are simply invalidated by the meta tanks of Ornn and Maokai. There's literally no reason to pick any other class of champion to send top lane when tanks win lane before lane has even begun and make a much larger impact on the game than bruisers or carry top laners.

In regards to junglers and their presence top lane it's nothing short of obnoxious. Junglers don't even lose that much experience from camping top lane when catch-up experience exists and their camps respawn so slowly. Plus, this just further insinuates that we should all just play tanks since they just live through ganks and don't care about losing CS.

As for sustain there's far too much top lane. Almost all the meta picks have it, it needs to be toned down....and don't just say build Bramble Vest because not every champion wants to build Bramble Vest.

Now then....for the most overloaded class in the game right now, ADCs/marksmen.

ADCs deal far too much damage for very few items. It's literally 1-2 items and that's pretty much their late game and they just go wild.

Additionally, their items fill almost every single one of their needs. Want waveclear? Build Shiv. Want more damage+range? Build Rapidfire Cannon. Want survivability? Build GA (this item is far too cheap :D). Want to duel people? Build Phantom Dancer. Want to deal more damage to tanks? Build Lord Dom's. Want to heal more? Build 1-2 of the 3 viable ADC lifesteal items.

You get the picture. ADCs have too many options in terms of what they build compared to any other class.

In terms of base damage in their kit it's still a concern since most ADCs either have an attack speed steroid or an auto attack reset as well as one major ability which just does ludicrous amounts of damage (case and point, Kog'maw's W).

On top of all of this it doesn't help that supports just peel too hard for the ADC to the point where the only way to kill the ADC in a 5v5 fight is to kill them with your own ADC.

If that wasn't enough they had to rework an entire class just because this class was the natural predator of the marksman class. Lul assassins 2k17-2k18 am I right boys?

Conclusion, Riot needs to look into balancing the ADC class since it's no longer "ADC in 2k17".

This next point doesn't tie into Riot so much as it does with the community, but what happened to the community? Do we just never have fun now? Is winning the only way of having fun?

Forgive me if I missed something, but the community seems to be full to brim with toxic edgelords who only want to flaunt their ego online with their quote end quote "sick plays". League never used to be like this prior to seasons 5-6, so why is the game's community so unhealthy now?

What happened to all the creativity in the game? What happened to all the custom games that were constantly being hosted every day of the week? What happened to all my friends who played League and who have quit?

These are all questions I ask myself whenever I think of League, and it's sad that my answer to all of them is "Riot doesn't seem to care about what the playerbase turns into". That is my answer because Riot has shown us that they enjoy making money moreso than they enjoy maintaining a healthy relationship with the community and encouraging positivity and creativity within the LoL community.

A temporary fix to this is Riot permanently giving us at least URF in custom games. However a permanent fix to this is giving League some more 5v5 gamemodes that aren't just 4 variations of ranked/ranked simulator. Rotating gamemodes aren't nearly enough, we need permanent gamemodes so that even our casual players can enjoy this game, and for the love of god PLEASE give us back Crystal Scar, we want to play Hide and Seek again....

Well that's my view on it all, just wanted to put it out there....

Stop turning our game solely into a competitive online money maker and stop changing what players love about the game.

I'm personally pretty darned happy with the changes Riot's been making, especially with the AP items rework. The new item looks pretty swell, and the changes address many of the problems other mages had in the current meta.

And AP Mordekaiser may actually return to being good with the reworked items. Which would be pretty awesome if you ask me.

And as for the boards being toxic.. Well, it's the Gameplay and Balance board. If it wasn't being toxic, I'd be worried.

The changes would be good if they fixed the initial issues with the game. The AP item changes will create more problems than it will solutions. The new AP items look decent, but honestly I'm happy with the AP items we have now (but maybe they could add a few more?).

AP Morde likely won't see a return since they'll change how Liandry's works due to him, as his ult currently does ~132% of someone's max HP with his R.

The boards being toxic isn't my concern, it's the players in game. When I get into a game the only response I'll usually get from my teammates and opponents are "?" pings and "gg ez", maybe even something like a "get rekt" or "fuck you". The boards being toxic is the least of my worries.

As for the players in game, well, I really can't say, the ones I usually play with usually tend to be pretty chill, but I usually just play blind pick norms because I'm just a casual.

That's where it's the worst for me XD

What are you smoking? the CDR in games is a huge problem at the moment and it's about to get worse, you used to have to think about items to get to get that CDR working effectively with the build but now it just builds whatever you want since runes and items just allow for 40 or 45% CDR with now effort at all, this turns laning and some fights to be practically URF mode, there is barely any opportunity to think "they have wasted their abilties go in!" cuz the minute you go in champs (mostly mages) have everything back up again. Back in season 5 you had the opportunity to counterplay, stopwatch being another issue to this... I am mostly rambling now but the game is turning into a shitty urf mode by 10 minutes

Having more CDR around makes it easier to balance it, actually. And the higher amount of mana means damage can be lowered since lowering damage won't be crippling, just that you'll have to do it over a longer period.

And the freedom to vary my build path is something I quite appreciate.

Nope, having more CDR is gonna be a bigger problem, if they nerf damage due to low cooldowns the early game gets screwed over. max health damage is another balance problem, riot say it's easier to balance but that's really not the case. look at Brand for example, he can 1 shot teams with a combo and just sorc boots. its dumb, same with ornn, I was playing nasus into ornn yesterday and the CDR plus max health damage made the lane impossible to play in as I could only sit under tower. champions shouldn't be able to do that. and it's CDR to blame mostly

I know we're getting Twin Shadows back, but we've lost many items over the years as well.
