to NOT STEAL the heal if someone has **lower HEALTH THAN YOU. ** For pete's sake, unless you are the only one on the field (ie everyone's dead) and you are just taking it so the enemy can't, then that's fine but for the love of God, don't steal the heal from your teammates especially if they are HEADING STRAIGHT FOR IT.

I don't agree, since it's not always a good choice. If someone is on 10 HP, then taking the heal will bring them back to what? 150 HP? 200 at best? They are still one skillshot or AA away from dying, so essentially the heal goes to waste. Instead, some tanky could pick it up, getting more effective HP.

Also, there is the mana issue as well. Having mana to cast spells on certain champions is much more important than keeping someone else healthy. Poke champions for example need to have mana, because they can put out so much work.

It's not all black and white.

SnugglePuggle943 votes

That heal doesn't go to waste on them. It keeps them alive enough to stay back and wait for the next heal to be up so they can stay in the game longer before dying to go buy items.

I can understand if it's a Soraka, but if you're an assassin like LB who just does it for no good reason especially if someone needs it, then that's just unsportsmanlike conduct.

Snowman Arc4 votes

What's the point of staying alive, if all you're gonna do is sit back and do nothing? It's better to just die and come back and actually contribute to your team. That's what most people don't understand about ARAM. Dying in ARAM is a strategic way to win sometimes. Having 0 deaths makes you more of a burden in your team than anything else. Same with being AFK because you wait for a health relic to spawn.

SnugglePuggle941 votes

If you are sitting on a pack of 3000+ gold, then fine go ahead and run it under the turret for all I care.

If you are at 75% health, and can regen it back a bit and then go back in for the next fight for more kills, don't fucking take the heal from someone that needs it more than you.

Having 0 deaths is not a burden, especially if you don't want to die before a certain point-- like having enough gold to get a certain item like a BF sword or whatever. And no you can still contribute to the team by still staying back to regen- poke from behind and then go in when team fights start.

SpiritOfOdysseus1 votes

To a point youre right, but having 0 deaths up to a point will put you both at a level AND gold advantage. The downside of course is the death timers and monkey teammates that tend to love going in when they're at a disadvantage like 3v5,all it usually takes is for a low HP enemy to shake their booty around the front line and hook line and sinker. But that's the nature of ARAM, I've been at 5.5k elo and had the most monkey teammates you could imagine.

Gold advantage is irrelevant with gold advantage. Then, argue gold advantage can work under a positive feedback system.

The main exception is if you have a champion that can heal you more effectively than the health pack would. If you do then let them take the pack for the extra mana, but this is the only exception.

SnugglePuggle943 votes

Agreed! I forgot about that one!

Depends. If im frontline and lux is mid hp and mana, im taking it. Even if i have more HP. Even if youre heading for it.

SnugglePuggle944 votes

That's just being a douche. If you're ever in my game and do that, immediately reported with an explanation in the box as to why.

Give it to the Lux, she has the AOE for the team fights and the shield that might just save you if you make a bad play.

Pika Fox4 votes

Yeah, thats an abuse of the report system and wont be counted. Lux has all the range in the world. Even when im playing lux, i dont grab the kit just because im low HP, unless im the only one low HP. The tanks get priority.

SnugglePuggle944 votes

No it's not, because you are being unsportsmanlike by stealing something from a person that needs it. Tanks do not get priority. If everyone has high HP and one isn't, THEY are priority.

Pika Fox4 votes

No, its not unsportsmanlike. And yes, front line gets priority. Wanna know how useful that heal will be for the lux if the thresh or the taric or the leona cant engage safely? Not useful at all.

SnugglePuggle941 votes

Yes, the hell it is unsportsmanlike especially if you do it deliberately.

The thresh or taric or leona can engage safely on 75% health. A Lux who is trying to avoid the engage needs it more than them.

Pika Fox3 votes

No, the tank at 75% cannot engage safely, especially early. And yes, the lux at low HP is fine. She has some of the longest range in the game. Youd have to dive too deep past everyone to get to lux.

SnugglePuggle941 votes

I've seen it happen plenty of times so they can.

And no, a low hp Lux is not fine. She has skillshots that are easily blocked, a slow activating shield on the way out, and high cooldowns. She needs the health and mana more than a 75% tank.

Pika Fox2 votes

You either dont play lux, or dont play tanks (especially since lux w was just massively buffed)

SnugglePuggle941 votes

I play both, thank you very much.

Pika Fox1 votes

Clearly not if you think lux needs HP more than a tank. If you die as lux, either you over extended, the enemy over extended, or you probably have 5-10 kills, its 10 minutes in and you should have really bought items by now.

Shes not going to die. Just not going to. Hell, youll likely get plenty of heals just because everyone else will already be dead.

SnugglePuggle941 votes

You clearly don't play ARAM much then. I'm a level 7 mastery Lux, for your information, so don't say I don't know her or how to play, that's rude.

Pika Fox2 votes

I only play AI and ARAM, so yes i know aram. Lux doesnt need the HP more than a tank does. Full stop.

SnugglePuggle941 votes

If a tank is low, then maybe. But if he's at 75 percent, hell no.

Full stop.

Pika Fox1 votes

75% HP is not enough HP to hold off an engage or to actually safely engage for melee champs. If lux cant live off 25% HP, lux is doing something wrong.

SnugglePuggle941 votes

Nope. Totally wrong.

I've seen it happen plenty of times.

Argument over.

BYE!

SpiritOfOdysseus2 votes

As much as I agree with you about tanks taking priority (because at the end of the day, tanks will matter more to the team in terms of utility, peel, and survivability especially late), I think it's better to share. Doing what you're saying would make me AFK if it happened more than once. But honestly, lux would probably end up getting it more than you since she tends to stay out of the bushes to zone with her superior range- thus taking positioning priority over the medic relics.

I've noticed that ranged champions in general are better off not being in the bushes, while the opposite is true for melee- being out of the bushes aggressively makes you stick out like a sore thumb just waiting to get slammed.

Pika Fox1 votes

Depends. On good engage champs i dont mind staying back out of the bush and letting the enemy push up. I can guestimate where they are in the bush and get an easy engage on the enemy near our tower where they cant easily press to the back line.

Well that's all going to change next patch. A item 3107 will form in the surrounding area after someone takes it.

I can't tell if that's a real ARAM change or only part of the Bilgewater event.

That health pack goes to the most efficient user of it and should not be wasted by applying a single rule to every situation.

For example, our 2/12 Lucian isn't getting it. And if we're pushed to tower with few players, I'd rather see my waveclear alive than my engage.

In my experience ARAM has a lot less 'stealing healthpacks' and plenty of polite pings insisting that allies take it instead.

SnugglePuggle941 votes

A 2/12 Lucian still deserves a health pack. It is not wasted. And that's just being selfish.

And in my experience people steal it more than giving it to others.

Acheron161 votes

Doesn't matter if one "deserves" it or not.

If they don't pick it, even after pinging, I'm picking it even if I'm max HP, just so the enemy doesn't take it.

SnugglePuggle941 votes

That's why** you be the better person** and leave it for them.

And if they are going for it, don't steal it in front of them.

Or you protect them while they take it so the enemy doesn't.

It doesn't take much to be a nice person.

remakoro2 votes

Champions have different builds. Some have a lot of HP regen or vampirism and can deal with it and some cant. Some of them gonna heal your dumb ass if you give them HP or mana. Some of them fight on the front line so whose extra HP needed by them much more than by others. Some of them cannot die yet so they should stay alive. And so on.

SnugglePuggle941 votes

A tank who does not have HP regen passives like Garen or Mundo can still survive pretty well on a lower HP, even if it's not that low. They don't need that extra HP if a squishy is low and needs it.

remakoro2 votes

Low squishy can dance in the distance and be useful but throwing skills from the limit of his range. Low hp tank absolutely useless. Then again - character with 300g on hand should absolutely steal that thingy from character with 3k gold unspent. Death of one of them will mean extra gold for enemies. Death of another - more pawa for your team.

Agreed, as a low hp (below 40%) champion in ARAM I will stay behind the back line to back them up in case a diver decides to all in them. It actually benefits the team because the enemy will get desperate to kill me, overextend and end up just killing their selves.

SnugglePuggle942 votes

I'm talking about a tank that has 75% health does not need the extra 25% if a squishy is below 50. If a tank is actually low, than priority comes for the type of tank, the type of squishy, and who needs it more.

Stealing is not cool, no matter what.

I Love Thresh2 votes

I dunno after a while you just get used to people doing that. Get mildly annoyed but that's about it. I like doing it to my friends tho (the same way I like stealing their buffs for the lulz even though I'm a support most of the time)

In ARAM it's just good to just play as if you won't get health packs ever honestly. So seeing it taken by the 90% health Caitlyn while you're sitting at 15% won't tilt you because you were playing with the assumption that you won't get it anyways. The sooner you adopt that mindest the better (or rather, the less irritating) getting packs taken will feel.

If you are low hp and I am Soraka with just a bit more hp than you, you can be sure as hell I am going to take it.

I've had many teammates take the health when they are full and I/another teammate under half health is heading toward it. Some folks just like to troll..

AnimeCrazy1 votes

its the duo ques that enjoy taking the heals to show his partner that hes a badass

SnugglePuggle942 votes

Had it happen to me in one of my last games. I repeatedly told LB not to take it, especially after she stole from me as I was heading for it, and even stole the second heal when she was about full health after that just to spite me. So I reported her after.

It's pretty straightforward people, don't steal it if you don't need it.
