It's not Lollipoppy's concept that's bad. Oompa Loompas are awesome. The problem with Lollypoppy is that she looks like a demonically possessed Troll doll.

Pain and health are not directly related. In fact the ability to convert pain into healing is amazing. Just imagine if every time you got hurt you could draw energy from that to heal yourself.

They are correlated. Did you know in third degree burns you no longer feel pain because your nerves were damaged/destroyed? Also I believe if you die from cold you will not feel much pain.

I was saying that Soraka's kit belongs to a necromancer-type character. Like master of life and death! Stealing health from your foes and giving it to your allies! So I feel Reaper Soraka should be her default skin according to her kit.

My post from a previous thread on this topic:

Reapers are sort of shepards for the souls of the dead, in a sense they're more akin to caretakers than killers. Hell just look at the weapon "Death" wields. Scythes were harvesting tools for grain, not appropriate weapons, and while death comes to everyone, it is not common that death is shown as the person doing the killing, as much as coming to the newly dead to guide them to the afterlife.

All and all I think the theme works quite well for soraka.
