The balance has been so bad this season,
so its not just me? I feel like seasons 4 and 5 (pre juggernaut patch) were much better balance wise than this season is, but i thought it was just my nostalgia.
I never had many complaints about balance through the seasons I have been here (since late season 2). Yeah, the game had issues, but it seemed like Riot knew what they were, and kept making improvements. However, this season has just felt off to me from the start. I feel like what may have set it apart this time were the new masteries. It felt like major power creep. Maybe I'm just worse, but it seems like there is so much more solo kill pressure from everyone in-lane. Falling behind makes me feel more helpless than before. Everything feels less tactical, and more fast-paced. Not to mention that so many champs are being changed that their relative balance is constantly in flux.
Then again, it could just be me. I used to play WoW, then I got to a point where I suddenly no longer enjoyed it. Can't even enjoy similar games now. Maybe I'm just tired of this one too.
Still, I hope I'm not done with the game, and that Riot improves it enough for me to enjoy it as much as I used to. Rito pls!
Same with WoW. Same with LoL. It was good while it lasted.

TENCENT DESTROYS GAMES

TENCENT DESTROYS GAMES
Tencent has owned Riot since 2011. They've owned Riot for more than 70% of League's existence. They owned Riot last year when the game was in the best state it's ever been in.
Tencent buying Riot isn't to blame for the sorry state the game's in now.
False. Tencent has PARTIALLY owned riot since 2011. In late 2015, Tencent completely bought up Riot Games, taking full control.
Fun Fact, Preseason is when everything started getting real shitty-like.
Balance is subjective. The changes in meta are what keep the game interesting. People who whine about balance are the problem with the game.
Learn new champs. Don't be lazy and expect the game to cater only to you.

Problem is when Riot takes a champ you main and completely fucks them around and leaves them that way. Then you have champs like Lee Sin and Zed who they wouldn't dare touch which is total favouritism.
Lee Sin isn't really a problem anymore. Zed on the other hand he deserves to be gutted to the ground same with Ekko and Lucian (Let's hope those PBE changes go live)
Lee will ALWAYS be a relevant pick.
Yes. Until there is a solo queue that I was promised, I'm out.
OverWatch is fun, replacement found.
I said screw SR. If I play it's ARAMs or rotating ques.
SR is just too toxic and dynamic que can go die in a fire.
My friends quit, and i suspect soon i will too. Kinda makes me sad that they keep breaking the game.
been playing religiously since season 2 and now i really don't enjoy it anymore
i do normals with my friends occasionally but it's a lot different when i used to play for like 7+ hours a day. i genuinely enjoyed playing league that much though. it was my favourite game, it was a hobby not an addiction.
now i mostly play bot games to hoard ip and featured game modes on the weekends.
i just don't have fun anymore. normals aren't as fun because all my friends quit when they started seeing the stupid ass changes, and ranked sucks because.. well, dynamic q.
i kinda wish i could find a way to enjoy this game again but i can't. it's incredibly sad seeing something you used to love just start sucking this much. i've never wanted to quit league before this season. it was my favourite game and my favourite way to pass time.
i feel like i'm not fully ready to give up on it, that's why i still play normals sometimes, but i really never have fun. overwatch is gonna take me.. unfortunately.
But you still play on the boards? Seems like you've looked back :)
It's probably more a regret/looking back at fond memories tbh, that's what it is for me.
It's like Diablo 2 or WoW or ex's. You want to rekindle the flame, but you know it's out for good. It was fun, but things end and you need to accept it. Just trying to remember the good times.
Yeah, same.
LET'S HEAD TO OVERWATCH, BOIZ
Too much 3-5 man queues [zombie-brand-facepalm]
I never thought this day would come but I'm legit thinking of quitting. The game just doesn't feel the same anymore and I'm getting bored of the champions I main.
8 days left boys....
Help a friend out and tell me: What´s in 8 days?
overwatch
league is dying.
First time in 4 years my friends have noticed me not spamming League, but I'm actually playing other games now too. My interest this season has slowly been disappearing. I used to be able to play whoever I was good with, but now I have to play OP champs or I'm at a huge disadvantage. I used to be able to see my skill level in solo queue getting better or worse with solo queue, now as a solo player I feel I have a small impact in games (I've even play solo ranked games with a solo team against a 3-4 man premade, how the fuck is this even possible let alone FAIR). Now that I can't properly see my skill in ranked, it's way less desiring to play that too and normals just don't cut it. I feel like I'm mostly playing out of habit lately too. I remember when I'd stay up until 6am playing league, wake up and try to play a few games before I go to work. Now I get home from work, play 1-3 gamesof league and then play other games and I don't even play in the afternoon before work anymore, lol, hell the last couple weeks I barely been playing at all some days.
Played since S2. They reworked my main into something I hate and I just plain can't win anymore (mainly because I always play weak champs).
Getting to plat as a Fiora main was the highlight of my League career. It was fun to snowball, and it was a challenge to win lanes against champs like jax with Fiora.
Now all my other mains are garbage and you need to read 30 pages of patch notes weekly to stay on top of this game.
League is a chore now. I'm just waiting for overwatch.
I ramped down my play a lot since Forced Team Queue replaced Solo Queue.
ALL I WANT IS SOLO QUEUE FFS. RIOT, WHY WOULD YOU REMOVE SOLO QUEUE?
First step to quitting league? Stop getting on the forums to talk about quitting league.
i'm still on boards and i'm pretty much out of the game, about 2 games per month to keep the green border for the next season in case i will play this game in s7
coming to boards doesn't mean you are playing the game. Heck, coming to boards means right now, you ain't playing the game and you are on forums :p

Touché. :D
i used to play the game for hours every day. now im lucky if i can stay 2 hours playing. i usually smurf and play new champs to avoid stress and hard games and such.
Been playing other games more frequently since league has become predictable. Whoever trashes who early game wins most of the time.
Here.
Just passing the time until overwatch, but not touching league any more even for that. Hell, even playing SPORE is more fun for me than suffering through DynamicGarbage.
Without a competitive environment to challenge myself with theres no reason to keep playing
Also balance is still absolutely abhorrent and we're halfway through s6
I've been holding out for about five months now hoping maybe solo queue will be back, but I cracked and quit last night. Knowing myself, even if solo does get reintroduced I probably might not come back cause once I'm gone I'm gone, the same happened in runescape: even when os was released I never went back.
Well, whatever riots aiming for this season, I sure as hell hope it's worth all the players you've fucked in the ass, cause I as a solo player will not forget the way we were treated this season.
Felt the same about a week ago. I don't think balance is a problem. Long queue times and 3-5 man parties across both norms and ranked suck pretty badly though.
I just stare at the play button now. And never click it.
I don't uninstall it because sometimes my friends ask me to play, but i decided I won't play it anymore. I searched other games (dota2, mite, strife, shards of war , overwatch) and I enjoyed the other games balance. I'm now a smite player who enjoys playing a game owned by a company that doesn't tell you they know better than you what ya want, nor does it tell you to shut up, pay, and go fuck yourself. I'm here too.
Compared to the past 3 years I hardly play anymore.
It does not get me excited thinking of playing league anymore
I have to actually find a reason to boot it up now. This season it feels like you need to go 13/0 just to have a 50% chance of winning a ranked game.
I used to get hyped for reaching level 30 and finally be able to play competitively. But now? The spirit is gone, I'm stuck at level 28. The game lost its charme. I haven't played for months now, it will probably turn into years, who knows. Better than getting yelled at for being "useless".
I'm waiting for Overwatch. At least I can be useful there.
Games Played by year year total average per month
2013 636 53 games a month avg
2014 686 57 games a month avg
2015 602 50 games a month avg
2016 103 20 games a month avg (To date)
I've been playing since almost the beginning and I've found myself starting to hate this game. It's not the fun game that it used to be and all these changes seem to be ruining the game not making it better. Good thing overwatch is coming out soon. Rito will have to either fix the game and give the players what they want or lose everyone to a game that looks like it will be superior.
I'm not playing that much these days, I'm only play to test stuff out like the new Cassiopeia, not ranked or anything.
Have been playing this game for 6 years now , constant active players about 5-6 games a day double the weekends if can be. I barely play now other friends barely play now , so many crappy changes shoved down our throat. 'Dynamic Que'. Riot isn't listening to the community anymore. Ranked will never be a competitive mode again. [zombie-brand-clap] . GOOD JOB RIOT
I used to be addicted to League of Legends, but as of lately- Riot has no idea how to balance their game. Whenever we complain about them ruining the game, their response is mostly "but you guys love this mode, right?!" ... we never had a choice. We have to play Dramatic Que because it's the only option. Trust me, give us Team Player / Solo Que and you'd see the results immediately.
Ye, barely play at all anymore
Lol if you don't like league any more and quit because you hate everything they do, then play another game. The game is free so you didn't lose anything. Seems kind of pointless that you hang around their boards and post stuff to get approval from other people who hate the game and the changes that riot makes. Riot will continue to try to make their game better to attract more players. End of story.
Riot will try to make their game better?! HA!
All they keep doing is ruining it further, not making it better.
That's why people are leaving bud.
