Yes, its plenty different. Everyone in WoW screamed for it, and with no data or evidence or anything, the devs just said nope.

Riot on the other hand, has surveys with players (before you complain the format for these surveys makes them biased, there isn't a survey that pleases everyone. Ive seen surveys that people didnt like, then Riot flips to a survey like they asked for, and they complained about that too) These surveys aren't perfect, but theres at least some proof as to why they say things rather than Blizzard's "you think you do, but you don't"

Also, Riot never says, "you think you want this, but..." They go more along the lines of " Our data shows that 7% of players are the ones who really do not like Insert whatever here. Furthermore only about 2% of players are truly negatively affected by Insert whatever here. (these are not real numbers, just an example of how they actually say something)

The last time Riot used any number, it was to say, "10% of people are really angry at us for replacing Solo Queue with Dynamic Queue".

Then you realize it means, that even 7 million people are very displeased by Riot's actions about a system half the overall community doesn't actually use.

I think it's just cowardly, if you're gonna trashtalk at all whatsoever, it should be done when the enemy has a chance to prove you wrong, otherwise you're just being a wuss. Personally though, I turn off all chat and go out of my way to type something like "Fun game dudes." if you're nice and say you had fun, then smug nugs will look like the turds they are in comparison.

We have a mute button for that. Only type of toxicity you can't fix with mute is intentional feeding. Seriously get over a couple of messages with some shit talk and get on top of the real toxicity of league. If you get a win, or kill, then say "GG ez" its basically kicking a man while he's down. You don't want to lose a game you spent 40+ mins playing, and when you do lose, you're probably already annoyed at something that went wrong. And rather than being gracious in victory, these people go out of their way to make it worse. It's completely pointless and yeah, while it is a videogame, they are still putting other people down to make themselves feel better. These aren't the sort of people I want to know in real life, and they aren't the sort of people I want to be playing with.

Same with the crafting system, the people who want to gamble get to, the people who don't still get free shit, and riot makes money that they can use to make more shit. That is the fucking definition of a win win scenario.

You get a crate with every level up (1 level up takes like 5-6 games)

If you get duplicate stuff in those you get Credits wich you can use to buy most Skins.

There are no Keys in that game :3

I respect Blizzard for doing this, but honestly "GG EZ", while being very unsportsmanlike, isn't the worst thing people say on video games. I REALLY want a filter for "kys" and all its variants. Insults on the internet don't affect me, but mental illness is on the rise and it should not be acceptable to say "kys".

I don't have a problem with people saying "gg ez" after the nexus is destroyed. What I do have a problem with is people, especially my team, saying "GG" or anything close to "GG" before the nexus is dead. I have been in to many games where people have done this and then they get wiped while fighting by the nexus and then end up losing. If the game was easy why can't you say the game was ez. If it was a good game say good game. Censoring everything someone says is just going to piss off more people than it helps.
