I would rather AP carries have had Deathfire Grasp then Zhonyas.

This item is so fucking ridiculous in a teamfight.

So many champs abuse the shit out of this item (Morg, Fiddlesticks, etc.) and it just creates ZERO risk vs high reward for a kit that was meant to be high risk high reward.

Fiddlesticks has his silence and fear to keep him from dying mid ult, that was the point behind it. But now hes completely invulnerable and untargetable. Making that ult UNCONDITIONAL unless you can get out of it.

Deathfire gave you more damage, but at least you were TARGETABLE.

I mean, any champion with zhonyas and an escape can get away during a teamfight. The fact of the matter is, you go from being untargetable, to not in the fight anymore. You have the upper hand because of this broken item.

So please riot, Bring back DFG but remove zhonyas, then add another AP armor item like Spellblade.

Why would you want to remove an item that allows champions who lack ESCAPES and MOBILITY to actually survive.

This item doesn't help champions who lack mobility against anything but from assassins. Then you can just grab exhaust. But assassins are meant to do that anyway, assassin's weakness is mobility. So you die from assassins a CLASS WEAKNESS, not because they are OP/UP

The only champions that have no mobility that use this item have no mobility for a reason, and they ABUSE THE SHIT OUT OF IT.

Huh? you just said its good in team fights, now you say it is only good vs assassins? And do you really think a xerath for example will be able to survive vs a Zed with exhaust? Pretty sure Zhonyas helps more.

Also let's not forget that Zhonya's still costs a solid 3300g with some of the lowest gold efficiency in the game without that active.

By comparison, Zed gets a nice powerspike with the active and AD on Bilgewater alone (1400g), where with Zhonya's you have to wait until you've acquired the completed item for the active - until then, all you get is armor and AP from item 3191
