700 blue essence is more valuable than getting a RANDOM basic champion.

A basic champion costs under 500 BE. You get to CHOOSE the basic champion you want.

Whether or not that's actually true is irrelevant. Leveling an account is still a long and boring slog.

That is how all free to play games work? Either you get gated outright and hit a wall you have to pay for, OR you are left with massive grinds with the ability to buy to avoid them, pick your poison.

The alternative is glorious champion capsule, where you get more than 1 shard. If its not a champ capsule, why call it one? Why not just call it cheap shit you can't do anything with?

Fair, I just don't really understand where your complaints lie is the thing. Yes, the grind for champions is slow, that is the point, they want you to buy RP and champions, either you deal with the grind or you pay, that is how free to play games work.

Well, champion capsules give shards equal to 810 to 1,260 blue essence. If a new player gets to level 30 they would have anywhere between 24,300 and 37,800‬ blue essence, and that's just from disenchanting the shards earned through champion capsules. Not taking into account BE earned through quests or hextech chests.

So they would be able to afford at most 6 6300 cost champion, or 12 6300 cost champions, if they upgraded the shards instead of disenchanting them.

That would mean they could afford every 450, 1350, and 3150 cost champion in the game at level 30.
