The matches, aren't even matches. I'm queuing up for 100% stomps that one side has no chance of winning.

If the games are stomps that means people are making less mistakes and throwing games less, there should never be a reason a game last 2 hours.

Why should any game not be quality? Some allowance for exceptions, why should a majority of games played be allowed to be shit-tier garbage in terms of fairness of match made, regardless of the 'mode'?

Sub 30 has very high levels of account Uncertainty. High levels of Tilted just got banned account rage cases. Smurfs who know better then everybody on their team.

Normal MM quality does not adhere to any level of reasonable class intervals for premade groups and the massive variance of player needs from the que, a place to learn, a place to play with friends, a place to work polishing mechanics, and a place to try and snag wins. All overlap creating very high RNG player behavior to gameplay.

give that gameplay is directly related to players... its unreasonable to expect any kind of consistency in individual match quality.

The BEST way to play a moba and remove teammate RNG is 5 man premade, a competitive que for that stands to have highest match quality. There are some issues with implementation for it thou as well as a large string of abuse factors that have to be managed.

But your the guy who only uses terms like dogshit, garbage, trash with out being aware of how little impact a objective system built on win rate distribution + natural population curves will ever make for match quality. MMR systems do a great job of sorting on a curve. They don't give a shit about gameplay.

So your beef should be at Player behavior systems and Champion/other gameplay issues.

Want to set a clear expectation. I don't think Your going to change your mind and that You wont learn about the math behind MMR.

The fact is Mmr Mm remains am objective system that's not built off the subjective metrics you arbitrarily use to define its quality. It's so silly folks try to do that. If you grade a super car by how many tools it can bring to the job site a beat up Toyota wins becuase your standard is not what was used in the designer intent for the creation of their car.

Constantly makeing oblivious comments about the nature of elo/mmr systems is common and from those comments its telling when some one is makeing it up as they go. Same way a kid who says 4+4= 44 is instantly visible as incorrect for any one with a basic understanding of addition.

I can go find the exact same quality of posts on other games where some ones calling it trash etc. Its commonplace in PvP multiplayer games. Becuase people dont get how an objective system functions.

You want to prove mm has issues you Need to know what it's designed to accomplish and how. For mmr you need to understand class intervals. As we can't get the values from riot the way to subjectively grade it is by looking at the curve and apply context of "skill" in relation to the average player. Not exclusively off singular player experiences. Even then its not conclusive proof but you'd at least be able to highlight if it reasonably looks to be broken.

If we had riots numbers we could run a chi squared test And also graph out system expectations for low uncertainty to show if there are issues with the standard deviation. The fact that you can test elo systems on paper And off reality make them very useful.
