Azir vs Xerath
How would you beat Xerath with Azir? I know he's a strong counter but there's like 0 way..I was AT LEAST 40 cs AHEAD of him and he could still kill me in like 3 hits when neither of us had any kills.

You're not suppose to win, you're suppose to bow before the true power of an Ascended! Hahahahahaha!
* cough * Obligatory Xerath Main banter out of the way, lets take a look at what happened, shall we? A disclaimer that I don't own Azir, I don't play Azir, but I've played against Azir and you're looking for advice in that scenario.

First big mistake,
. One's enough, you're litterally losing out on half the item buying it a second time because the AP on hit and the CDR are unique passives. Considering you were already building a
and had CDR Runes, you were going way overboard with CDR.
If you need some more attack speed, swap your Masteries from using Sorcery to using Fury. While you're at it, you may as well switch from Deathfire Touch (which is isn't helping you a whole lot anyway) to Thunderlords Decree. Azir's great at getting attacks in quickly then backing away, and Thunderlords amplifies that damage.
With the 3000g you're not spending on a second Nashor's Tooth, buy a
and a
. The MR is great, the AP's pretty good, and you'll make Xerath (who had no MR) weaker to your all ins.
Speaking of all ins, that's one of the big ways to mess up a Xerath. You've got a dash, you've got a shove, you've got a slow, you want to fight up close, you've got everything you need to make Xerath's life miserable. Xerath's stun is almost non-existent if you get right up on his face, so that's perhaps the safest place for you to be. Plus, no Xerath is going to stand still and fight you if you invade his personal bubble, he's going to throw some spells at you and run like a little girl manly tactician that wants to call in the artillery as soon as it's safe to deploy. Stay on him and be ready to sidestep. The health and slow from
, plus the MR from
should help you edge out a favorable trade.

I got the build from here http://www.mobafire.com/league-of-legends/build/marksman-azir-emperors-flurry-411816#chapter4 and deathfire touch and high attack speed lets me insta kill anyone who isn't a tank the momment they get in range of a soldier. I'll keep this in mind next time I'll fight a Xerath though, ty.

And what do you notice about all of the other builds? http://www.mobafire.com/league-of-legends/champion/azir-121
None of them have multiple Nashors. That's your first hint this is an odd build.
You then look at the match history for the guy that made the build: http://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-history/NA/39212509?champion=268

Yeah... this guy sure looks like he knows what he's talking about when it comes to Azir. /s
You then read his FAQ on his stream (which he linked to in the build) and you notice one little word:
Marksman Azir bot
It's an off-meta "ADC" build for Azir, not a mid lane build.
This is a case of "Don't believe everything you read on the internet".
and deathfire touch and high attack speed lets me insta kill anyone who isn't a tank the momment they get in range of a soldier.
No it's not, because DFT doesn't work that way. DFT is a damage over time mastery, attacking multiple times in that duration simply renews the duration, it doesn't add more damage. Thunderlords is more likely to instant burst than DFT.
well azirs a hypercarry, you arent supposed to beat other champs in lane tbh.
also you have to dodge his Q then go in since he wont have much to use left on you.
*incoming salty azirhater is gutted people

i love u
But in a more serious tone, I actually agree with you, Azir isn't going to get a lot of kills during laning unless your opponent makes a bad move.

Actually I usually get easy kills in laning or force them out before I reach level 5, I was probably just paired against better people and should be more careful.
Someone refused to purchase MR. lol
"i ned muh damage!!1!"

Some MR would severely decrease my damage output and make me about as strong as a caster minion. Even with MR, you can see Xerath had a void staff and sorc boots for magic penetration.
wtf who downvoted all of the comments here..someone's mad for no reason
