Gameplay posts don't have evidence to back themselves up

Just take a look into any post getting upvoted right now and you'll see that they'll make a random claim, then give nothing to back it up. Literally, we have people saying Electrocute is overpowered yet haven't provided any evidence showing that Electrocute is a strong rune right now that needs nerfs. Example of a use of evidence:

I think the balance team is bad at their job, potentially biased, and unfit for their job. I can provide evidence for that. Irelia was nerfed because her mid lane was strong, but the nerfs only affected her top lane. These changes were pushed by Ricklessabandon, who hasn't played the game in 4 years. Supports are overpowered right now and are why it is so effective to gold funnel, but they aren't nerfed for reason. Coincidentally, Meddler is a support main. (Yeah, he's not an ADC main like the boards were circlejerking awhile ago.) Reav3 and Wav3Break barely play the game. These are reasons, but not limited to themselves, why I think the balance team isn't fit for their job. A counterexample though is Riot Blautoise does play the game often. (They balance the game, so their status is as a public entity like a streamer, who do get frequently shit on by the community.)

I made a claim and gave reasons and evidence to back it up. A lot of gameplay posts are either empty or just have some randomly rambling that doesn't give any evidence to back up the claim they make. The lack of evidence is part of the reason no one takes the gameplay board seriously.

This completely describes all you do on these boards.

I even have evidence for that. Look at your posting history.

ok so my posting history shows me constantly calling people out for lack of evidence and also has a bunch of links to stat websites

So yeah, can you actually show specific evidence and make an actual argument before you accuse me? Otherwise you're just insulting me instead of giving criticism.

No your posting history constantly shows you calling out facts with pseudo proves that are non.

The post was about how the interaction at lv2 with electrocute ignite is like 260 or so which is solid evidence. And the reason they said it was too strong. But you tried i guess..

that's just ignite being overbuffed, which there's evidence to show ignite is too strong right now

but there's nothing showing electrocute is too strong

Thats numbers but it does not compare it to its competitors, basically an incomplete formula.

Yeah a lot of these post are just claims with no evidence but you don't really post evidence to the contrary you kinda just say no and tell them to provide evidence while you don't. I've seen you post about conqueror a ton and I've gotten just as much data from the people claiming it's too strong as I have from you saying no it isn't.

In this post you gave links but it doesn't tell us a lot. For example riot does a lot of in house testing which you can't show anything for as we don't have a way of knowing that. For all we know Rickless spends a lot of time playing with play testers or he could even have another account. What is telling us supports are overpowered? Meddler is a support main? Sure he may have played a lot of support recently but he has also played a lot of ADC so he kinda just plays botlane in general. He's played a lot of both sides so he isn't a support main or ADC main.

yeah because I don't have to provide evidence because the burden of proof is not on me.

Meddler is a support main because his most played over every season is support.

If you claim something is a problem you are the one who has to provide evidence of that. It's called burden of proof, if we disagree we just have to counter your original evidence but you do not have any evidence to counter on.

An example i could use i, say that Annie's Q was doing more then intended(just creating a fake scenario), your proof would be showing what the tooltip showing the dmg it should be and the damage it is actually doing factoring in target MR ect to support your claim. Saying it was doing an unintended amount of damage without any proof leaves the burden of proof on you.

The problem with the Forums is most people here make claims without burdens of proof and expect Riot to listen to them. This makes the situation worse because people who actually do try to build a good burden of proof for their stance get drowned by post like these that do not actually prove anything.

At least Rickless is leaving Riot. That alone should cut down on the bad changes the balance team does by a huge percentage.

CertainlyT is still here.

Yea they mostly rely on the circlekjerks to pump them up. Hardly any of them are lined with facts and of the ones that people are actually posting on their main accounts, thier match histories counteract their claims.
