3 Tanks Riot should consider reworking during 2018

So riot started doing massive reworks around 2015, and gave us a huge giant list of champions they wanted to focus on for the next two years, and for the most part that list has been completed. Now that we are moving forward with our reworks, I would like to list 3 champions Riot should consider for 2018-2019

Rammus Malphite Amumu

These three, all seem to share the very same problem, When they aren't meta they feel absolutely worthless, and when they are meta they feel like the most oppressive unstopable heavy cc tanks in the game. Not only that but they do lots of damage as well.

So what cases them to have a severe lacking of a "meh im just mediocore" middle ground. The answer is simple

Beyond reliable, stupidly overly reliable, with very little margin for error.

Ramnus Pops his ultimate the moment everyone is on top of him and starts spitting out massive AOE, he also has a guarantee taunt and and a near guarantee knock up. He is border line impossible to fuck up.

Amumu: While he can miss his Q, the good oal walk up to them and ult, or flash ult, is still very very easy to pull off, once again like Ramnus all he has to do is wait for people to make the mistake of walking up to him, and if not he has plenty of ways to get to them.

Malphite: now this is probabbly the easiest one to fuck up out of the two being mentioned, but is still very easy to pull off, his ultimate, honestly feels no different from amumu, and it's the core identify of his entire toolkit. Honestly his Q-E feel like strict laning tools that have nothing to do with his ultimate, it felt like Riot just simply put a really good ultimate on him to make up for really lack luster Q-E. Basically he suffers through what the old sejuani suffered through, he's an ult bot who is worthless without it. At least the previous 2 have other things they can besides pressing R.

So why am I writing this? For once again Malphite is the best tank in the game when he use to be the worse, and i'm noticing a trend with these three tanks specifically, JUST specifically these three, that they constantly go from "oh i'm shit," to "i'm stupidly abnoxiously OP at the moment".

We tend to see this lack of a middle ground with champions who are out dated and poorly designed, and I think at least 1 of these 3 should be on the list for the 2018 focus of reworks.

3 Big problems these 3 share

-Overly reliant on a niche they fulfill -Very hard to mess up, TO reliable -For the most part they are "stat check" champions, where the moment their numbers are bigger than yours, life becomes challenging.

Edit: sorry for typos, wrote this on my phone

I think Voli could use a lot of love, especially since the reveal of his brother, but unlike the three tanks I mentioned, I feel Volibear has been at this "yeah im just mediocore" safe zone we want champions to be in. I never found a meta where Volibear fans went "omg I can't play this champion anymore"

I think rammus is by far and away one of the champions most in need of a rework. Riot is all about counterplay but with rammus, there is absolutely no counterplay at all, in his entire kit besides minion blocking his Q. Instead, rammus rolls in at light speed, knocks you up and then point and click taunts you for 2 seconds while making you take massive damage when you are forced to attack him with his defense curl. And if that isn't enough, all he has to do is press R for even more damage and even affects towers. The damage he puts out for this reliability is ridiculous. The only actual counterplay in the game for him is buying QSS, which isn't an option on most champions.

At least with amumu, he can miss his Q and then is either forced to flash in or wait and malphite is much weaker vs AP champions. Unlike rammus, just pop that defense curl and no AP is doing damage to him and AD will kill themselves on him. Rammus taunt should be made into a skill shot, like a short tremor in a direction that if you time flash or dodge you can escape. Right now he is the most skill less champion in the entire league without counterplay.
