3 other team members and I had to report some asshole on our team who was shit talking during a ** 3v5** the other day. In post game stats screen he was giving the usual "haha yea report me it won't do anything" right after I left the post game I got a pop up that a player I reported was punished.

I know, just played Orianna sup vs Braum they had perma top lane camp and tps and then our mid lane dc and never came back, now we lost because Orianna is troll sup even though we had same score in kills/assists bot, but more deaths cause Malphite ....

Then its "gg" from the 5 man squad.... I love this game

I say gg at the end of every game, win or lose. In the case of a dc or troll I usually add a "Sorry bout the dc\troll". It's not to be rude it's just a sportsmanship thing. like how at the end of a soccer game the teams line up and shake hand or high five.

Yes, but...

In a soccer game, if one side cant field a full team, theyre not forced to play with less players... so there is NO game, and it therefore cant be a good game.

In league, being down a player isnt a game either, its an irritating waste of time often, and no part of it is good for the 4 man side.

I get where your coming from, and adding a sorry is way better than most do, but instead... Just try typing "sorry bout the dc/troll" only, and leave the gg out cause it always sounds bad to say "good" game to someone who is annoyed at the 20 minute time waste they most certainly thought was bad.

Technically the only time they don't play the game is if a team can't field a full team before the start of the game. If, at any point during the game, circumstances force a team to have less players (injuries, ejections due to red cards, ect...) the team is still required to finish the game with less players.

I think it'd be a much better habit for people to say WP in that situation. I'd rather hear someone say, "You fought well despite your handicaps" than "That was a good fight!"

The trouble is even "WP" might be interpreted as either sarcastic or in a taunting manner ("Yeah you might have played better, but it doesn't matter since you had an AFK. Sucks to be you!"). Trying to unambiguously convey your respect is unlikely to succeed with any such stock message. It's probably better to either take the time to write out something longer or less ambiguous, or just remain silent to avoid inflaming emotions.

I generally interpret 'gg' as being sarcastic or autonomous when seen after a game with a dc. I prefer that ppl acknowledge the dc over everything else. I don't enjoy games where my team has a numbers advantage, so to me it can't possibly be an enjoyable game. As such I feel that 'gg' is somewhat insulting

I avoid saying "gg" if it was a stomp one way or the other. I especially don't say it if there was an afk or extremely toxic person.

It means almost nothing, but I guess I it's just hard for me to accept a game like that as "good".

Id bet MONEY that even OP has gloated in thsoe situations. I dont believe ANYONE has never gloated in the least bit about winning a 4v5. Its no secret 4v5's still have a chance to win, a decent chance. If shitt talking helps to keep em down, so be it. If you're not killing them ... I suppose maybe this is true. I turned off pings sounds too and the enemy is generally more interested in trying to kill me than trying to emote spam me.

Except that half of everyone who plays this game is that way. There are only two types of league players: the ones that are looking to abuse and insult everyone they meet, and the ones who are so sensitive they will report you for sneezing because it hurt their feelings.

nah there are a good amount in between just the others are the loudest, just like politics. you only see the extremes since they are the loudest. some people just feel like not getting in the crap. this is usually the most out of line thing ill do, explain my thought on the position. league has its good players too just they are harder to find since they are more quiet.

early game i was playing against ekko .. when i got first blood on him i said bye in all chat ( yes i was an asshole-_-)

but about mid game 2 ppl just afk .. 1 had his mouse broken and the other one just dc

I will never forget we had our corki feed and leave. We still took them 4v5 and busted open there Nexus. Sadly we didn't have an ADC to help with the damage so we ended up losing. Still made them work for it.

I get no pleasure in winning a handicap match. It's like winning a boxing match and your opponent only has 1 arm. That's no thrill of victory for me. The best for me is when it's an out and dog fight, with two teams pretty evenly matched and you win and you feel great and even if you lose, you know it's a good fight. Games of 5 v 4 or when you have an intentional feeder or other nonsense is not fun and certainly nothing I would gloat about. Makes me feel like it was pretty much a waste of time.

Seriously. I had a really bad losing streak and I was going to get demoted, I took a break and came back with a fresh outlook, saying that even if I got demoted (a tier) it was a chance to fix my mmr and it was my own fault for playing on tilt. So my first game of the day goes great, the score is somewhere around 7/2 and we're winning hard. And then... our jungler d/c's until the 30 minute mark. Mind you I was playing support and we were completely destroying the enemy bot lane my adc was 3/0. The enemy jungler and mid then proceeded to gank bot twice in a row and kill us both without any chance of a counter gank. We went on to lose the game and when my team started talking about our d/c in all, the enemy trist (who was previously 0/2/0) starting taunting us saying she's glad our jungler d/c and that they would have won anyway because we 'sucked'. The entire enemy team had this attitude, proceeded to insult us and laugh at us in all as they tried to kill us in fountain.

The games (wins) later, I get another d/c. This time we're winning as well. We lose. I get demoted a tier. Enemy laughs, taunts in all. I expect nothing less of this community.
