Trundle Buff: Alleviate the Tiamat Tax

I think this is a good way to assist a struggling champion in a soloQ way. Trundles soloQ identity is more about being a strong pusher and a bully where pro play prioritizes his debuffs. Something like this would help him push without Tiamat (since he was affected by the price hike harder than others) and assists his clear speed a good deal; which I think is fair compensation for how brutally his already weak ganks were butchered on account of pro play.

Frozen Domain : Trundle now cleaves on basic attacks for 15%(?) of AD while he's standing on it.

This helps alleviate Tiamat tax and assists Trundle in losing lanes (mages and ranged champions who can shove him in) as well as boosting his jungle clear. It has little effect on his damage against champions so he won't stat check harder or anything.

That would literally be enough to make me want to buy item 3071 and item 3748 on trundle since each auto will be 3 stacks on whoever im autoing and 2 in an aoe.

I don't think you understand how cleave works

Wym, black cleaver applies stacks to anything that gets hit by you as long as its physical damage, and you never said the champion ability wouldn't stack with the item.

Unless you mean he does not basic attack on his cleave and instead its just an aoe, in which case it would be 2 stacks aoe instead of 2 aoe 3 on target.

The reason item 3748 stacks item 3071 twice per auto is because it adds a %HP ratio against the primary target. The only thing item 3074 gives against the primary target is the item’s AD, thus it only applies one stack of item 3071. OP’s suggestion would function similarly to item 3074 by not directly applying any additional on-hit effect to the primary target, only to the surrounding enemies.

So, like I said, the second one, 2 aoe 2 target with hydra + cleave rather than 2 aoe 3 on target.

I think he should be able to smash his Pillar of Frost for AoE damage+stun, so that he isn't forced to build Tiamats when it really isn't something he wants to build in the first place, he just HAS to. Similar to GPs barrel mechanics.

This might sound absurd, but I think increasing the slow on his Q would help him out a lot more. That is, if Riot plans on leaving Pillar (his primary outplay tool) the way it is currently. His ganking potential has been terrible since the nerfs to his Pillar and he's always been on the lower end of the totem pole in terms of damage output (compared other junglers). I think increasing the slow on Chomp to 1 second would improve his ganking ability and make him feel better for solo queue play, without breaking him in competitive.

His primary problems right now:

-HIs ganking power is pretty much nonexistent since Pillar was gutted (near useless until ranks 4-5) -He can't stick to anyone on his own if they have any idea what they're doing. -He deals no damage if he rushes defensive items, and his utility isn't strong enough to make up for it either way -He deals only sustained damage, while the game heavily favors frontloaded damage and short trades -Everyone deletes him in 2 seconds and/or perma-kites him to oblivion until he reaches 3-4 items AND didn't get snowballed on.

His only advantage left right now is being able to take towers quickly, but with the recent nerf to item 3077 his already abusable early game was made even weaker.

Trundle main build items are item 3149 item 3078 with tabis or mercs. This is the split push version of him.

I would rather tackle Frozen Domain with aoe magic damage to surrounding targets while he is standing on it. Pretty much like kayle's E. The counterplay would be avoiding to fight him while he is standing on it.
