If you're a mid laner, you know what I'm talking about. Galio is not a popular champ, but every once in a while when this is not picked, random champs show up mid lane. Once in a blue moon, it is a .

At first you like fine, no problem until he starts hitting you with his Q, and then your reaction is "holy crap, that does a lot of damage". You brush it of thinking I won't get hit by it again. Then you land a few of your spells on him just to realize,"holy crap, this champ is taking no damage".

At this point you are puzzled cause you don't really know what to do. Then Galio gets level 6, and proceeds to flash ult you and your health goes from 100-0. And you react saying

"holy crap, what just happened?"

He counters AP mages, so if you are playing those against him, Lord have mercy on you. Play an AD champ against him so he can't abuse his passive on you and can't heal off your damage.

I agree he does a lot of damage, but just like mages he's very slow, melee instead of ranged, and HIGH mana costs. So if he's using his spells a lot, abuse him for it.

best advice i can give is to send the adc in, someone like cait or draven can 2 shot him through his zhonyas/roa anyway.

every time i go in with a big ulty even with R's 50% damage reduction and the 90 armor/healing from W i still find myself getting shredded by an adc with crits/last whisper.

galio also loses out to tanks like reksai or udyr, galio's cooldowns are just too long and since he cant one shot them its going to be very difficult for him to do much of anything besides just wave clear and wait for a team fight.
