No, I have to strongly disagree. Zyra's update greatly increased her fantasy of a plant controller and she can zone a lot more efficiently now with more plants available. Additionally, Q has a larger AOE and can be used to trigger more plants into turning into spitters as well as clearing more minions when they line up. Her update is leaps and bounds better.

I was new to zyra pre update but played her support and new zyra imo is way better. Her random seeds are amazing for blocking skill shots with and I like how much easier it is to tag two people with the new q

Nice Riot textbook reply. The problem is that she often -doesn't- actually have more plants available, with a large discrepancy between lane and all other stages in the game.

I agree with you. Subjectively and a little bit objectively. Q annoys me. And no one can deny that she's more or less forced to max W 2nd now if she wants to keep the dmg up.
