Can we give a small attack speed buff to Eve?

I know she might be in a decent spot right now, but I was thinking of the fact on hit builds are pretty much non-existent on her now.

I was thinking it'd be cool if she would gain an attack speed buff for a few seconds or for her next 3 hits. This would perhaps bring back an on-hit eve build variation or even a hybrid where they build blade (or even a bruiser eve).

It's mostly just so that she can do a bit extra damage in a longish fight instead of just darting out right away. It would also help with clearing wards or control wards as she has no auto resets and is melee.

It would activate after exiting stealth, or perhaps with her passive in general just so that you don't have to hit 6 to recieve the buff.

Thoughts?

she's not really that decent rn, even in low elo her winrate is average at best, in high elo she drops all the way down to 45% winrate

in high elo it drops due to her being very bad when behind. I also have issues with her W, as you rarely ever get to proc it against a team that is decent. I found myself popping the W just for the slow 90% of the time. Imo thats an area they should work towards.

I suggest this buff simply because she relies on pressure to succeed, and is good at farming as well. The time she spends killing a ward while putting herself in danger is way too long. I'm not asking for a crazy 100% attack speed buff, but rather something like a 20-50% based on level.

Also, I said "shes ok" just so people don't go "SHE'S OK, STOP TALKING" as a form of an arguement.

Her Q nerf a few patches ago sucked, but the preseason changes might be magic for her.

On-hit builds tend to be fairly non-existent on any champion that doesn't have a good kit incentive to build on-hit. I don't think a bit of Attack Speed would be enough to make on-hit viable on Evelynn, as her kit doesn't offer enough value to on-hit effects or attack speed scaling.

You never know. Sometimes these things pop up, especially if a new item is introduced (such as a bruiser AP item) or a rune change. It's mostly for the ability to clear wards faster and commit to all ins early where she can't 100-0 you and needs to auto a bit to finish you off or even stand a chance sometimes. It wouldn't really improve her boost but instead give her the ability to commit more to an all in where she needs a little bit more damage to use her ult to kill you.

It's also just nice to have the option. There might be someone in the game who might love to play it despite it not being the most optimal thing, and I think that's important to do while not making it overpowered.

The concern there is previous patches have shown that junglers especially are prone to benefiting hugely from small increases to AS or AD or Armor, as they spend so much of their time simply attacking and being attacked. I worry that Evelynn is already in a decent spot with a decent clear speed, and buffing that by any amount that would turn out meaningful in a given fight would dramatically buff her jungle.

evenlyn already clears instantly, i guess it would buff her early. thats why i also suggested that maybe make it a level 6 thing so her early game isn't turned into anything broken. it can be a scaling attack speed of 20-50%, starting at level 6 and ending at level 18. If she got it at level 6, then her clear speed wouldn't really change much as you are meant to just W Q E the camp (or just Q and E) and just walk towards the next one, while using Q. Auoting would just waste time if she had so much AP.

But the thing is though it sort've defeats the purpose of the suggestion as then it'd only be good at ward killing. I would just like to have something for small skirmishes early to apply a bit more damage in a gank for committing or a duel. She isn't really good at fighting anyone really early, especially 1v1.

In all honestly I don't think it would impact it that much even if it was 10-50% attack speed for the 1st 3 attacks or what not, as she'd have to get her passive back to apply it. That really isn't a lot of damage. It would help her push towers I guess though as a consequence with damage. She isn't a champion like Elise or an attack speed/damage champion who benefits A LOT from attack speed. She's a caster, not an autoer, and doesn't really benefit from it besides just making it feel better and the other things I've said.

edit: end of the day i know the change wont happen, but its just an idea and i think its important to spread ideas and just discuss them.
