If you really care about strategic diversity, then make marksmen not mandatory
About time you did that anyway
About time you did that anyway
I don't know how to do this in a practical amount of time. Key subtasks:
Of these, 1 is the big problem. Pretty sure this means either a big mechanical change, like abilities doing damage to turrets, or a bunch of kit reworks / new champions aimed at producing this new siege solution.
The problem is that it would at a minimum require creating a lot more DPS-Casters like
and
, which are generally spat upon by the mage-players, and unseen by the ADC-players. Plus, they're slightly harder to play, since keyboard-mashing is somewhat harder than right-clicking.
A more thorough and wholesome fix would entail basically overhauling the whole damn game. Ain't nobody got time for dat.
Playing Ryze is hard? Since when?
Playing games is supposed to be hard? Since when?
You kinda missed the point, and I think you're trolling, but I'll answer seriously anyway. Saying Ryze is harder to play does not mean he's hard to play, just that it is more difficult to play Ryze than to play many an ADC (again, keyboard-mashing vs right-clicking).

Turns out
has the win rate profile of a high skill cap champion. I know it feels weird, but his rotations and timing stuff accurately is hard for many players.
Falcon, can you make more detailed threads like you used to?
I'm dead serious, hash isn't around anymore and I need my daily fixings on these said topics.
Like this thread man. http://forums.na.leagueoflegends.com/board/showthread.php?t=3551106&highlight=falconpawwwwnch
Hey I remember reading that thread! Funny how the that post still succeeds in describing the state of the game today.
For #1, you already deal bonus damage to towers based on a percentage of your AP. I believe it's 30% right now? That could easily be kicked up a few notches to allow Mages to better burn down towers.
is probably the first mage that could replace an ADC in a team comp.
It's common for Azir to buy a
already, because of the great stats that it gives him. This gives him an edge on many mages as far as tower-pushing pressure. Additionally, Azir can spend Soldier Charges to directly damage an enemy structure.
Honeslty, the biggest hold up is that there is no fall-back plan for bucking the existing meta. Those wishing to play without a marksman ADC must choose between shoving their replacement in the bot lane (with potential downsides to mages and changes to supports) or they must have a five man team and try something even more drastic (someone solo bot, another player going somewhere else).
