Rammus Top Lane

I'm operating these days on the theory that if you want to win top lane, the entire goal is to not feed. That's how I play to overall successful results, and by and large it means focusing on health regen and armor.

To this end, assuming you're last picked, or able to determine who is top lane before your pick, why wouldn't Rammus be a viable option top lane? Yes, you're farming at tower. But let's assume you take Demolish and, for the sake of argument here, go Banner of Command as your first full item after item 3751.

In theory you'd be able to make short work of all the towers in game. Between his ult, Demolish, and a Promoted Siege Minion basically negating tower damage, you should be able to roll your way through all early towers without challenge.

Has anyone tried it? And if so, how did it go?

This is why I play Soraka top.

Spend all game not feeding and you become another health pool for the adc.

Bonus points on having near infinite lane sustain and drawing attention from the enemy jungler so yours can gank mid and bot freely, as well as having a global ult to keep an eye on the botlane during laning.

Oh wow, that's dirty.

Is it that bad? Or are people just unsure?
