Is it really fair that one leave warrants low priority queue?

I left a ranked game yesterday- its true. I had been carrying hard the entire time but I had to leave like 40 minutes in cuz i miscalculated some things. Now i'm stuck with five games of ten minute wait times. I've had this low priority queue one time when it first came out and haven't left a game since then until yesterday. After months, should one game really trigger the system AND increase the time from 5 to 10 minutes? the whole system seems stupid to me in the first place(not the punishment- but the system) because it's automated and it shouldn't be because of all the factors that go into leaves.

Is it really fair to the nine other players in the game that you left? Don't waste other people's time, and Riot won't waste your time. Don't start a game unless you have at least a full hour to devote to it.

I'm sure it takes multiple leaves, but Riot has said they treat ranked leaves more harshly than normal leaves (I believe I recently read that at customer support). Unlike normal games, LP is actually at stake so an afk/leave is taken a bit more seriously.

I'm not sure, but I don't think Riot would just come out and say "don't worry, the occasional leave is okay!" At the very least, they would beat around the bush if that was the case (so people wouldn't just leave willy nilly because derpity derp), but honestly I'm not sure.

It's a little unfair, but a low priority queue of five minutes is a lot better than a temp ban or being forced to play 50 games of draft normals. Just muscle through it for now?

Honnestly I've "left" (more like forced disconnect) from a few games (even ranked ones), and never got that low priority thing... So it's clearly not his first time leaving a game.
