Do toxic players deserve to win?
I was a Cho jungler, who did quite well, despite the team complaining that I couldn't win their lane for them. I actually won top his lane with 2 early ganks in which he got the kills against Talon with Trundle. Bottom lane had already given up a few kills because Amumu was camping them, and they obviously couldn't ward properly. I went down their twice but was unsuccessful due to the opponents properly warding.
I decided to focus efforts in mid lane to help Ez against Twisted Fate; in the end they came out even. Now the entire game, anytime ANYTHING wrong happened in a lane, I was bitched at. It became the mob mentality when even Trundle started bitching when he got killed, even though it was my help that won him lane. We came back, and probably could of won until I hit a breaking point.
"Cho, you're not fucking doing anything, stop camping jungle!!" Ya know what? I had 8 kills, 7 deaths, and 15 assists. I guess I was just sitting around in jungle all game. They all jumped on this bashing band wagon for no reason. After getting this treatment I said fuck it, these people do not even deserve the win, despite my best efforts. I fed the enemy team and let them win.
Now, is this the only way to teach a lesson? To show what verbal abuse does in game and how it doesn't help players improve? I wasn't so much angry as I was disgusted that these players are going to take the win and think that their attitude justified it. Reporting them doesn't do anything, we all know that. In fact, after telling the opposing team my intentions, I received 3 honourable opponent reports.
Who's in the wrong?
