im so tired of seeing thresh and leona almost EVERY game i play.

how can riot say their game is balanced, when the two strongest supports have always been thresh and leona? and that they see a majority of support picks

edit; i dont have a ton of trouble with thresh or leona. its just extremely boring to play against them. same with blitz.

i get that its an easy counterpick and an easy win. but i dont want easy counterpicks and easy wins. i want challenging wins. im tired of using the same strategy over and over and over to win bot lane. its boring. bot lane is stagnant because lthresh leona and blitz have a chokehold on it.

Why are they such a issue for you.

Just counter pick them and win bot lane.

Then carry that to mid game and win game.

Counterpicking Thresh isn't really a thing. He's like Zed or Lee Sin for support -- tons of tools, with his only real disadvantage being a high skill cap. Riot knows this but hasn't figured out how to fix it.

Actually counter picking Thresh is vary possible.

Try someone like Zyra or vel'koz. They can keep him at bay easily with his lack of sustain and defenses.

Then again to me thresh is child's play compared to good opponents like Morgana and Sivir combos.

Morg straight up counters Thresh...in lane. Out of lane is different, but he won't hook anything with black shield up. Leona is different, but people don't like playing her counter, which is basically Ali (not the only one, just a good one).

Soraka? Taric? sorry but those two have never reached that status as far as support goes. Maybe when they could go someplace but support but never when they were support

You seem to have forgotten Blitz. The support meta seems pretty wide to me.

I do think that poke supports are too weak right now. It used to be reasonable for Sona to poke Leona down to the point that Leona would think twice about going all in at level 3. That's impossible now, with all of the sustain available to the kill laner.

And that was AFTER Leona got her health regen nerfed once. Leona doesn't need another nerf; Sona, Janna and the like just need buffs.

Janna could actually hold her own and was a top pick for a long while last season, but she's been nerfed a lot this season...

You know how Rito is, they don't really like reverting nerfs. :/

They also like nerfing unpopular champions with popular counters, though. Keeps them out of the meta.

Yeah, but Janna's last change to Tailwind and Zephyr really hurt for her. Now using Zephyr leaves her REALLY vulnerable.

Can you name the last time they nerfed high pick rate high win rate Blitzcrank, who holds a 54.8% win rate and a 25.06% pick rate and a 6.27% ban rate? Sejuani is OP for one patch (I admit 60% was excessive) and immediately gets nerfed. Kassadin is still gutted with no compensation yet.

There is evident bias here. And while they do nerf on other factors (fun vs unfun), it's evident what they consider fun and unfun is different than a lot of players. Ever been grabbed by Blitzcrank because you missed one ward or stepped out of position by accident and weren't the tank? Yeah, because you died.

At least he's getting a slight nerf, but it's not going to fix the problem. If anything, his ult needs a change. Three forms of high cc/burst is not healthy on a support who guarantees a first blood with one spell. At least Leona has to use her full rotation and it puts her at risk pre-6, whereas Blitz gets two cc and a strong passive that complements a support build.

I think they need to consider re-increasing the cost of Blitz's Q, at least at early ranks. Maybe have it cost 120 or more mana at level 1 and have it decrease in cost as you level it.

There, Blitz has to land that shot early or he manaburns.

Well, Lux does have 130 cost on her E that doesn't even waveclear effectively unless she has a shit ton of AP.

I dunno. I mean, Leona has one cc pre-6, Blitz has two. Even Thresh's flail isn't that bad compared to Blitz's powerfist. Maybe they could have a delay on spells like Sona; Blitz can't immediately cast one spell after another for about a second or two, giving his target a chance to escape.

Because of all the supports, he takes the most skill to use.

Other high skill requirement supports that can work against blitz: Janna Braum

But in solo Q no one is a support main because that's not how you climb the ladder. Which is why you rarely see the high-skill requirement supports in solo Q.
