#I TALK ABOUT BALANCE IN THIS POST, Instead of just downvoting and moving on. I at least ask that you actually say what you disagree with that i mention during it. I am fine with you disagreeing, most people hate Yasuo. I just ask that you clarify.######

So i havent seen any Yasuo QQ threads yet but since the Lee QQ threads died down it looks like Riot is taking preventative messures before Yasuo QQ starts.

Steel Tempest (Q) duration for stacks of steel tempest lowered from 10 to 6 seconds. Sweeping Blade (E) cooldown changed from 0.5/0.4/0.3/0.2/0.1 to 1/0.75/0.5/0.25/0.

This is undoubtable what the Boards wanted, with the exception of Yasuos Ult avoiding turret.

SO im gonna make another balance thread about Yasuo. it starts here:

First ill explain WHY the Towers interaction isnt being changed: Its simple, its because of the condition of his ult. And i know that for the most part the fact his ult needs a knockup USUALLY doesnt excuse certain balancing. HOWEVER with towers its an exception.

People usually say this should be changed like how with Katarinas Shunpo you choose which side you appear on. And while Yasuos Ult DOES do this, its kinda omitted for towers.

THIS IS BECAUSE KATARINA CHOOSES when to go in. And thats very important. Since Yasuo needs a knockup in order to ult, he sometimes only has .5-.25 seconds to press R, and if you are trying to avoid a turret, you will miss a lot of chances.

Now that thats explained time to move onto what the changes actually do to Yasuo.

The Q tornado time change: This allows Yasuo to exert much less pressure in lane, AND (and the reason that sucks for ME since im a feeder and just farm) the tornado no longer lasts from the end of 1 wave to the next, if you are running down the lane. Pretty easy to explain.

The W CD change: This change is an INSANE nerf to his early game, kinda... It is double its normal CD at first rank, and doesnt get equal/better till rank 5. What this change did was basically tell Yasuos to Max E instead of Q like he was starting to do since the last E nerf a few patches ago.

Now one other thing that people who hate Yasuo hate, is his ability to play SUPER passively if he wants. And what this change means is Yasuos will (most likely) no longer go for an instant all in at level 2. Since its way WAY weaker now. Meaning Yasuo will be another farm till 6 champion.

ANOTHER GLARING ISSUE is with this change at max rank it is 0.0 seconds. DO NOT THINK THIS IS A BUFF TO LATE GAME. Bad Yasuos will probably get noob traped by this and think this means spamming E is a good idea. This will get more Noob Yasuos killed late game. so its pretty much a false pat on the back. There is almost NO opportunities for 0.0 to be more useful than 0.2. Most people cant even move their mouse fast enough to benefit from that.

##And finally what i think of the changes.#####

Yasuo is no where NEAR as strong as he usually is when people complain about him. And i personally think these changes are a little too rough on Yasuo. At least with how he is right now.

He was a little strong, and the Q change is more of an opponent QoL change than a flat nerf. Thats fine.

However for Yasuo a 1 second CD at rank 2 is PUNISHING. I understand Riot telling Yasuos to max E, AND i understand another nerd to his early game.

I think a better way to do these to Yasuos E is instead of 0.6/0.5/0.4/0.3/0.2 ---> 1/0.75/0.5/0.25/0.0 0.8/0.65/0.4/0.25/0.1 Wouldve been much better. The ability wouldnt be much worse at 1st point, but still nerfed pretty hard, with his other changes at least. It also wouldnt allow the strangeness of an ability with 0 cooldown, and be a noob trap.

If the current changes DO come through i think Yasuos E could use a scaling buff to not only make the number a bit more impactful. But also not hurt as bad as it does.

And let me tell you it is a HARD nerf early game.

I believe a hard nerf to his early game is exactly what they're intending to do here.

Yasuo becomes extremely powerful with items. Even with just PD and IE, he becomes a terror to fight against, outright impossible for anyone without any sort of defenses.

That sort of character should not have lane presence. It's like Gangplank - GP is very powerful late game with items, but he has a really bad laning phase in which he mostly farms. Nasus has a strong mid and late game, but early on he's supposed to farm stacks and not fight.

Same intention with Yasuo here.

As i stated. I comepletly understand a Nerf to Yasuos laning, it IS oppressive. However with the long CD on his E now, this is just gonna make him play REALLY passively now. The best way to fight Yasuo IS to fight him early since hes weak. But with this nerf, it isnt a nerf to his lane. It is a complete GUT to trading.

And if Yasuos are playing passively, that means you wont have a chance to shut them down BEFORE they GET items. Meaning that this change might be a sort of BUFF to Yasuo.

With the E CD i stated. It still is a sizable nerf, without making any trades pre like 7 damn near unwinnable.

You said very similar things as i did, I wholeheartedly agree with your post.

IMO a nerf to Yasuos late game damage would be smarter, not gutting all his early game dueling. You should be making it less punishing letting the Yasuo snowball. And not make him even harder to snowball, but just as strong if he does magically manage to get fed.

However JSYK from experience, it doesnt matter how much you scream at people on how to fight him. You still will get ridiculed for mentioning anything positive about the champion.
