What 25,655 IP, 1820 RP, and 14,450 gold can buy you

I'll just put this at the beginning. Infinity Edge = 250% crit damage. Infinity Edge + Crit Damage Runes = 296% crit damage for anyone besides Yasuo and Jhin. 296% calculated with Ashe's Passive: Frost Shot at 100% crit chance = **328% critical hit damage. **

It's well known that Ashe's crits at 100% deal more than the usual 200% crit damage, in exchange for them dealing less than that at any point you have less crit chance.

All I'm telling you is that would shred a tank no matter how much armor and HP they have. . . . .

The ability to kill anyone who has 5000 HP and 300 armor in 10 seconds. And anyone who doesn't, in a fraction of the time. Please note: This is not an exaggeration. My calculations are now in the post for you naysayers. And no, this isn't a a thread to cry about Ashe being OP. This is an extremely risky gamble, and the scenario is assuming she isn't being attacked.

Also note that if that tank happens to have Thornmail, you would die 1 second before them, even if we're only counting the backlash you're dealing to yourself. And if that enemy is also Rammus, that reduces your lifespan to 6 seconds.

**Price breakdown: **

Ashe 450 IP Some Very Specific Runes

CRITICAL DAMAGE RUNES 25,215 IP Note that this would completely remove any defenses you'd usually have on an ADC _

Project Ashe so you look super fine: 1820 RP _

item 3031 item 3508 item 3085 item 3046 item 3006 14,450g. #Which you would normally have between 40-50 minutes. So this isn't gonna happen in a short game.

Okay, since people are downvoting due to the fact I didn't post the stats, I'll provide them. Please read the above text for further clarification on the risk involved in pulling this off at all.

Simply put, instead of the usual 296% critical damage possible for everyone--due to a full page of Critical Damage runes, Ashe's passive with 100% crit chance and those runes causes her attacks to deal 328% critical damage.

My calculations were using Ashe's base damage and attack speed at level 14. Granted, if she has this build there's no way she's only level 14. So keep in mind the statement is weaker than she would actually be at that point.

With that, along with the damage, attack speed, and critical strike chance from those items alone and her Q active--assuming she begins the assault by activating the Q, she will deal 584 damage per second while it is active and 426 for the remaining seconds-- though I did not adjust for the fact she would have her Q back again in a little over 2 seconds.

With that build and those runes, her critical strikes (every auto attack aside from the first) will have a base damage of 735.

Against a squishy target (around 80 armor), those would deal 735 X 100/180 -> 55.5% damage = 407 damage per auto. I didn't do the math for dps or activating the Q against a squishy target, though you can see clearly that they would last a small fraction of the time the tank would.

Against a Tank (with the stats I mentioned first), with the Q active and then with it down (without reactivation): 125% damage on autos from her Q brings her damage per auto attack up to 918. With 1.9 attack speed total from her growth, items, and active Q, that's 1,744 dps. Adjusting for armor, that's 918 x 100/300 -> 33.3% damage, = 306 per auto, times 1.9 = 581 dps while the Q is active, and then 426 while it is off.

**Important to note, however: ** With Thornmail on that tank, you would kill yourself several seconds before they would die, without even taking into account whether or not you're being attacked. Every time, you will lose the fight from your own damage alone. 200bnsarmor X 25% = 50 damage from armor, add the 15% premitigation damage brings that up to 187 dps. That kills the 1483 HP Ashe in 7.9 seconds On Rammus, assuming he would have 107 more armor with his E active, that brings it up to 294 dps. That kills the 1483 HP Ashe in only 5 seconds.

But you also have one extra item slot, and a vampiric scepter + 2% from masteries brings your survival up barely enough to win that trade alone. And increasing that into a tier 3 item wins you the fight.

(though you have to increase all numbers slightly to adjust for her damage at level 18, the results are all similar, but with further reduced timeframes.)

.

TL;DR: I'm not hating on Ashe. I just thought this was really fucking cool and wanted to share. She's not even the one who can get the highest crit damage on an attack. That's Shaco with a Deceive Backstab. Lowest is Jhin, since his total damage is reduced 25% regardless of anything you add onto it. That's actually why I did this math in the first place. I wanted to see what could be done with 3 people to make Jhin incredibly strong, and decided to check whether full AS, AD, or Crit Damage runes were strongest on him. Instead, I found that his crits are the weakest in the game, second to none. Yasuo's Q crits are a close second, but they will always beat Jhin's by the Q's base damage.

Or just get Master Yi without runes, could basically do the same

Ten seconds of sustained, continuous damage is actually kind of a long time in game. I'm not sure why this is supposed to be that impressive.

The Ecdysiast1 votes

It's only impressive because it requires no bork and no armor penetration. Add in either of those and the damage increases even further. For anyone else to come even close to her damage from autos alone, they'd need a seventh item slot.

That, and if she kites correctly she and one tank could kill the rest of that team around 4 seconds. If she lands her ultimate and her buddy has an AoE stun as well, then it's gg. The enemy tank would be running away with a constant 60% slow.

10 seconds is a long time to be constantly attacking someone

Checks match history...does not play adc... gonna go with 'nope.'

The Ecdysiast1 votes

Checks match history and sees the Poppy spree because I bought the new skin + playing champs I recently got skins for from crafting and friends.

Proceeds to assume I don't play ADC despite the fact I do.

Great research on your part.

And the numbers that anyone can get from the wiki have nothing to do with whether or not someone plays a role or even a champion. It's a flat out fact that this is possible. You can't argue with correct math. I'll post it on here, so you can go be ignorant by failing to do any real research, to someone else.

I can argue with anything I want.

For instance, I can argue with you all day about how easy it is to get to the moon. That doesn't mean I or anyone I talk to will do it or be willing to do it. More than that, the fact that it can be done doesn't mean anyone will be able to do it, and the fact that I personally have no experience related to going to the moon makes information I can pull off of wikipedia even less convincing.

The Ecdysiast1 votes

You're providing a completely different example. All numbers related to getting to the moon are extremely sensitive to environment and decay.

In League of Legends, the numbers are all very clearly defined, and this particular question doesn't even bother with how long it takes for the auto attacks to reach the target. I took out all the difficult math and just did the bare bones.

What you're claiming you can argue against is simple multiplication and division. What an example regarding reaching the moon would argue is the interaction of thousands of different factors into a point where you wouldn't burst into flames. Completely different.

I very clearly outlined how this is possible, with the conditions being very simple:

  1. You are not being attacked back.
  2. That enemy does not have Thornmail (you would die before them if that is the case)
  3. Nothing is preventing you from continuously auto-attacking (no Fog, no blinds, no dodges)
  4. You have the runes and items I listed.

I also clearly outlined the downsides involved in attempting this.

And, you seriously didn't even bother clicking to look at my other top mastery champions when you went to check my match history? You'd see Varus, man.

That's just lazy.

All numbers related to getting to the moon are well established and proven. Any environmental sensitivities can and have been accounted for. As per your suggestion, the very requirements and timing on what you propose is not successfully tested in any live game.

Then go ahead and get to the moon.

Since you're claiming that it's comparable to acquire all the rockets, fuel, manpower, government approval, calculations, and training as it is to get some IP.

You just go ahead and prove to me that you "can."

I already proved you wrong with the fact I play ADC.

You prove yours first :)

hella cdr and crit. im assuming runes are armor pen then?

AgeOfTheMage1 votes

i assume so.

The Ecdysiast1 votes

Close, but wrong. The method I found requires no armor penetration aside from the 7% penetration you'd normally have from masteries.

LongHair Fox1 votes

Rammus item 3075 Can do that too.... If that is your build

The Ecdysiast1 votes

I actually included the calculations for what would happen if the tank you're attacking has thornmail, and then if that tank is also Rammus with his W active.

In the first case, you would die at 8 seconds. In the Rammus case, you would die around 6. lol

You would be dealing so much damage to yourself that you would die before them--- although I don't know a build path that gets a champion to 300 armor + 5000 HP without having innate HP or armor in their kit. And even then that would only be viable if the enemy team has no magic damage.
