Name the last time you saw a Zed run out of energy
You can't.
You can't.
He uses energy?
when i play him.... god i suck with zed
when i play him.... god i suck with zed
Same - when I play him - granted its only for a few moments and no where close to dealing with mana management
I can say the same for the Shen's, Kennen's, and Akali's I've seen. Is this supposed to prove something?
You are a dirty liar.
Calm down, we will down vote him.
Akali can run out of energy faily quickly, as can kennen if he didn't just stun an entire creep wave which isn't possible to do

Akali is another that ignores Energy
Shen and Kennen (and really bad Lee Sins) are the only REAL energy

Vs High Poke Mages/ super lane bullies, akalis will run of energy simply because they can't auto their q's due to their reliance on q for last hitting. zed's w-e/w-q has a very good range and is the most safe energy restoring mechanic. Everyone has to go melee for energy, but not zed.
Kennen and Shen even have to use their sole non-spammable escapes/gapclosers.
Energy Restoring Mechanics (best to worst) imo:

If it's laning, then yes, it's in that order.
But if it's team fighting, or skirmishes, it's more like:

Now I am not defending any of these champions in any way, it's just shen can land multiple people with a taunt for near full energy, and kennen gets a lot of AOE stuns. Akali has cooldowns to manage and spams a lot, and lee sins really don't care about auto attacking too much in a teamfight, they just need to qq ww ee r
Ever since the change last year to his hitbox, his taunt has a very slim chance of really catching more than 2 people unless they are graphically on top of each other. You normally will not hit more than 2.
Also Kennen's stuns are not guaranteed, unless you hit everyone with your W and R, and still his ultimate randomly strikes champions in the AoE. It's not reliable outside of 1 - 2 people. I honestly think that Kennen is in the worst place. He can't compete against other mages and he's a very mediocre ranged top champion. Good against Riven though which is a nice bonus.
Akali's cooldowns are mostly negligible, minus her shroud, because her ultimate is costless and her passive provides a lot of sustain and damage to make up for waiting.
lies, if akali isn't in range she's only using her q, and she never runs out of mana using only q
I think you mean date it. But I'll name the last time I, personally saw it happen... Jeff. It was a Jeff moment.
Last time I saw a Zed run out of energy? When's the last time I played Zed?
I find zed runs out of energy mid way through a combo if he didn't go in at 100% energy. I guess what I want to say is a good zed knows how to pull his punches till he gets that one long chain of blows to knock you out.
If you were anywhere close to creeps then he gains an absurd amount of energy back.
No, a zed doesn't know how to pull his punches, he spams the shit out of his q to knock 10% of your HP at a time while cs'ing at the same time, then all ins you and forces you to blow flash if you want to live.

Then if that is all that is bugging you then dodging is always an option. I mean he is almost always going to aim for you so keep moving and don't play predictably. And the all in zed combo Is intended to hurt them while at the same time forcing them to back off. If they don't and simply cc him at point blank then he has no option but to end the combo early and back off. I have played many games against zeds where someone simple such as Annie or Malzahar abuse him for using his ulti.
Either i sit away from creeps and take full damage from q, or I sit next to them and he gains energy and farm. There is no "good" way to play against him.
Counterpicking isn't always an option. So stop treating it like it's a major downside.
Also, I don't think a bronze IV is gonna tell me how to play this game.
I absolutely LOVE how you call this perosn bronze IV while refusing to admit that juking a skillshot is a counterplay to a champion. So, you cannot dodge his Q? Idk how u gonna survive Morg, Lux, Diana, Brand, Thresh, Blitz....jeez I think I'll break my keyboard typing out all the skillshot champs. Did you like just straight AFK whenever you saw a Nid before they nerfed her Q?
It isn't counterplay. That's like saying nidalee spears are ok if they are skillshot, it's not a question of whether you can dodge it, it's a question of what happens when it hits.
When it's a HIGH COOLDOWN that's understandable, like varus ult. you dodge it and you don't have to worry about it, but "Just dodge it every 8 seconds" no matter what the circumstance isn't counterplay.
You act like nidalee spear was bad because she hit you with nukes so many times. That was an issue, and you could dodge as much as you want, but the main issue was that what happens when she inevitably hits just ONE. Hitting ONE in 20 spears made a difference because it forced someone out of a fight and could do something with it.
What you do when Zed misses a shuriken or Nid misses a spear is to chunk his health. Punish him for missing and reward yourself for dodging. If you can't, just farm and wait for a better opportunity. Most of the time you outscale Zed and Nidalee isn't that big of a problem anymore anyway.
The problem is that generally speaking, Zed isn't going to put himself into harms way if he missed a q. Sure you can get some cs and such, but its low cd makes it hard to abuse, that and the fact that he out scales a majority of champs as far as 1 vs 1 goes, so you will most likely never be able to farm and fight him later on.
Oh yeah? Well... Name the last time you saw an aatrox run out of health... wait... bad example.
"Balance is a lie - we are the true ninjas."

zed does run out of energy during laning phase when he is trying to poke/cs. but it all comes back if he just waits for a few seconds

and usually if a zed is winning lane he wont likely run out of energy as he can use his spells when it seems neccesary. the only time a zed will run out of energy is if he is losing lane to a syndra, and he has to use his spells to last hit or try to dodge syndra.
I don't really even play Zed or anything but....
Zed runs out of energy all the time, the only way to NOT run out of energy is to spam shadow slash while double hitting people with your shadow with both of those abilities at max level.
That being said while energy does make him slow down often it is only because his cool downs are so low already, it doesn't take much to make him wait for his abilities when they are on 3 second cds.
Also his energy costs are far more restrictive early game, the more points you put into abilities the cheaper they get so by max level most of these barriers have been removed.
All that being said, are we really all shedding a tear for the likes of Akali and Lee because they can't spam quite as hard as someone else?

@title Are you telling me that energy isnt infinite?
I was watching a Bronze Zed who spammed everything off cooldowns and he ran out.
Sometimes.

i was playing him once, had no energy but i hit 1 E with my Ult and W shadow and it all came back like magic.
Name the last time you saw a Kennen in combat have full energy. You can't.
Anyways, you can actually see when he has no energy after he has used his full combo on you.
I play zed with 40% cdr with just
, so... I've seen it many times
I see him run out of energy (or at least to the point where I can't use any abilities) every time I play as him.
in lane when using w q to trade
As a Zed main, all the time. Unless all you do is throw a q once every 30 seconds.
...Wait. Zed has an energy bar?,..
DW guys at least his waveclear is bad to make up for it
yep as well as having difficulty staying in lane for extended periods of time

Zed's energy management is actually quite poor, especially early game. When he tries to WEQ combo in lane, it will leave him with only enough energy to E again once it comes off cool down.
Among the energy users, his capacity to regenerate his energy is mediocre, since he can only refund the cost of his abilities if he and his shadow both hits the same enemy.
However, Zed does give off the illusion of never running out of energy because of the nature of this resource. It regenerates 5 to 10 times faster than mana, he may exhaust himself in one combo, but he can get it back in 6 to 8 seconds.
To a traditional mana mage, this make it seem as if Zed is constantly able to use abilities. But if you play another energy champion, a mage with mana regen abilities or passive, or a manaless champion, you will see how terrible Zed's energy costs actually are.
Early on, Zed cannot depend on his shadow for energy and his skills cost the most with only one point into them. I find it rather easy to kill Zed at these levels once he blows his shadow; without his W, his ratios are only average early game, and he can't fight back.
all of the time lol...
I play Zed pretty regularly, and for the others, same deal
Shen runs out of energy a lot, and with akali you need the W's invis in order to muster up the energy for combo's
In other words, if you're having a problem against these champs, you dont understand them and how to approach them correctly. Maybe you should buy them..
When I first played him as a noob, I always kept on running out. This was before nerfs...
The hidden energy deficit is the deadliest
when I exhausted him
I've easily seen it, by me.
Zed runs out of energy after about one and a half rotations, or a full burst plus q and maybe e.
.
I run out of energy on Zed all the time, it's a problem actually especially if you spam your W and Q to do some poke damage before using your ult to kill.
