What Role is the Hardest?

I'm curious to know what the player base considers is the most difficult role to play in game.

I think ADC is the hardest and most demanding role in game. You are target number 1 in most fights. In laning, you have to keep track of no less than 7 different things at once. Your positioning, your support, the enemy support, the enemy adc, last hitting creeps, possibly missing enemies, and the warded areas near your lane. Unlike your support who should have some cushion of CC to fall back on and escape fights when shit hits the fan (and it will), the ADC relies heavily on allies to keep them safe from being blown up instantly. Dying as the ADC does not always mean you were outplayed. Dying as the ADC is a natural occurrence unless you've an amazing team supporting you all throughout the game.

Because of the intensity involved, I cannot bring myself to play the role. Especially because of the amount of blind faith it'd require me to place in a complete stranger.

Jungle would be if Riot didn't change it to the point where you can just pick the strongest jungle champs and are almost guaranteed to do something.

I think this answer is different based on what you use to define the difficulty. Mechanically, ADC is probably the toughest. But as far as game sense and strategy I would say jungle is the hardest.

It depends on champions and what do you mean by "the hardest". You can play top malphite and wait until teamfights and you can play Jayce killing enemy jungler, roaming or doing counter jungle, watching for their jungler as you are squishy and have no escape mechanisms. You can play Warwick and you can play Lee sin, You can play Annie and you can play Orianna. In my opinion it's more about champ, not about lane.
