The new Steraks... Is good?

I've seen a LOT of people on the boards today complaining about the new item 3053, but with 50% additional base AD, that works out to be quite a substantial amount of AD for some champions, namely the champions that the item is intended for.

If you look at the champions AD growth per level and their total AD at level 18, this actually can be grounds for it being a really expensive item: http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/List_of_champions/Attack_damage If you switch to see the growth coefficient from largest down, you notice that the 50% increase will be giving 50 AD to some champs at around level 8 onwards, with it increasing even more as the game goes on.

In addition to the HP and the passive it provides, I think that it's justified being expensive with what it means for bruisers/tankier champs who will be building this. Not to mention it's synergy now with trinity force will be immensely strong with the additional base ad helping the spellblade proc.

Can someone explain why it wouldn't be worth that much? Or maybe should it have a small gold reduction to keep it more consistent in terms of gold cost to level of efficiency?

i love the new steraks, and i think most arguments around the price are a bit backwards.

steraks isnt too expensive compared to adc itemization. its more that adc itemization is way too cheap compared to everything else.

Bitch its beastin'! The new Sterak's is much better than the old one. It's often an item you get 2nd or 3rd if you must delay getting it or you don't have enough Bonus HP. People are bitching about it because it's cost is raised.

Most Champs have around 53 to 58 AD at Iv 1 and and 107 to 119 At Lv 18 That means it's gonna be 100% cost efficient at 114.286 AD So unless you can break even at around Lv 13 to 16, the champ is an abuser of Triforce-sheen or build a lot of HP beforehand. You shouldn't buy sterak's

Illaoi and Morde break even at Lv 13 while Yorick and Darius break even at 14 due slightly less AD and they have the highest base AD to get gains with Sterak's

It should build from a Giant's Belt instead of a pickaxe, but otherwise it's a decent item.
