Frames go from 100 to 10 for no reason?

After playing on a shitty old laptop for so long, it felt orgasmic to be able to play at a consistent 100fps with only minor deviations in big fights on my new laptop, but for no reason after i downloaded 7.6, my frames wont even budge above 35 on the LOWEST SETTINGS POSSIBLE WITH NOTHING ELSE RUNNING. Its even worse when i try to actually play the damn game and goes below 20 sometimes!!! WHAT THE FUDGE. How do i fix this problem? ty

Update graphics drivers? That's a common culprit as well if it isn't the game itself (which it could be, but hopefully it's gfx drivers since you CAN do something about those)

Tried to see if there was an update but there was no new updates :'(

Did you do that whole windows scan for the drivers? If so, you can also look at your specs and their brand, go to the official creators site for driver updates. That windows scan practically does nothing.

Git gudder leptop.

But srsly, what do you have? Maybe your "new" laptop isn't meant for gaming in the first place?

The 10 fps problem happened to me as well. I solved it by restarting my computer and then everything worked just fine. Perhaps if you leave your computer on for like two months consectutively or something? idk

asus intel core i7 4510u

I was assured that this would run league just fine and have had no problems until i downloaded the new patch..

with that info I am narrowing it down to a model like the ASUS Laptop X555LA-DB71, with Intel 4400 graphics, or similar. I would assume a machine like that would be able to run LoL at low settings. But that's about it, definitely not on high settings. I'm not sure why the latest patch would have made a difference, but to be clear: That's not a gaming laptop. That's an office laptop that just so is able to run some games with low requirements, but it lacks the fundamental architecture a gaming laptop would have.

What graphic card is your new laptop running?

If i knew i would tell you, im no tech guru

Click Start. On the Start menu, click Run. In the Open box, type "dxdiag" (without the quotation marks), and then click OK. The DirectX Diagnostic Tool opens. Click the Display tab. On the Display tab, information about your graphics card is shown in the Device section. You can see the name of your card, as well as how much video memory it has.

I think you can check for video card updates there as well. If it's an Nvidia card you can go to their website, and check for the latest update package to download and manually do it. It's a simple operation so you'll be fine by just sticking to instructions.

You have to turn the low spec option on the new client, because it only works if that shit is set, otherwise you have to CTRL + ALT + DEL and close the cliente whenever you're in a game.

Teriyaki Bukkake1 votes

It was already on low spec :/

WiegrafOfValor1 votes

Try to close the client when you're on a match. If doesn't help send Riot a ticket, but I bet they will tell you to use the repair tool, and it won't help.

=( bummers

Reinstall. Seriously. I have this problem where my shit randomly performs bad, and only this game.

Btw, i7-4720HQ, GTX 960M, and 12 GB RAM.

I'm not worried about not being able to run it. It's the game.

Huh, neat to see someone with the same problem. If you happen to find a solution (try posting in Help and Support), you should comment back on it.
