So uuuuh you buffed Nasus, which is fine

Can we do something about his relatively huge power he has when playing from behind?

What I mean is, no matter how much ahead you get on Nasus, if anyone else in enemy team gets ahead, it is Nasus who comes on top. His kit forces you to stay top, most of the time not being able even to realistically use your TP to help your teammates. He is at the same time great at taking down turrets, and defending them, and he quickly becomes safe from any reasonable 1v1 aggression. If your jungler needs to attend elsewhere, all the advantage you get is meaningless.

Now, I don't mind Nasus being viable and strong, but toplaners have huge problems staying relevant and leveraging whatever advantage they have anyway, and his playstyle is an epitome of toplane island. I'm fine with him being strong - if he works on that, not because someone else on his team does with 0 direct interaction with him.

I do understand that he needed buffs, especially in ranged toplaner meta, but I also do find his kit just as problematic. I'd much rather play vs Quinn, and at least get rewarded if I hold my ground, than be forced to pray that my team doesn't fall behind.

Or maybe I'm just missing something? How do you play vs Nasus if somebody on enemy team gets ahead and team could use your help?

Everyone goes on about how balanced and well designed Nasus is, although honestly I've never really seen it.

I haven't seen anyone saying that Nasus is well designed like ever, except obviously Nasus players. I've seen some people lately saying that last buffs were good, which I kind of agree on. They helped him, without making him any worse to play against than he was.

It's extremely easy to starve a Nasus from farm... you have 2 options...

1.) Set up a slow push into tower... and punish him out of lane when he goes to farm it... 2.) Let him Q the 3 minions he wants and make him push the wave in front of your tower and freeze it.

If you simply shove it endlessly into the tower and let him free farm or let it stay in the middle, you run into the problem you are talking about.

How does it help me if anyone on Nasus team is ahead? I'm still forced to stay on his face. Number 1 theoretically almost kind-of works, but than again from all melee champions, Nasus is one of the best in dealing with slow pushes, as it is very easy for him both to weaken the wave from afar, and to tank it before turret range.

There's no way for him to do this, if you are in lane with him. He will be forced to lose the entire wave or die.

I'm curious how you would do this against a not so dumb nasus as most champions. For instance many consider darius a counter to nasus, but nasus can easily bait darius into harassing him in a minion wave and get it pushing toward his tower. Then he can farm/ sustain all he wants while darius is sitting there trying to clip nasus and avoid turret aggro/ getting w'd by nasus as the enemy jungler comes up to gank the overextended guy who is trying to stop nasus from farming.

It depends on Champion select...

If I'm Darius, of course I won't go with the slow push option, because I won't be able to harass him, Or if I do, I will slow push the wave then roam. If I use the second option, I can let Nasus take a few farm and stay disciplined... and starve him off the wave while it sits right outside my tower.

If I'm a kennen, jayce, Rumble, Teemo player ect. for example, then I would opt for the slow push option, and not only deny him farm but also get a huge level advantage by shoving him out of lane when he goes to farm caster minions.

From my experience it seems that you can shit on Nasus so savagely that he drowns in feces, but if the rest of his team isn't feeding their asses off or your team can't end the game before 35 minutes he will most likely win. You're supposed to shut him down early so he can't be a late game monster, but that's not really realistic because you either spend the entire game keeping him down which by mid game will require at least 2 people or you shut him down early and then ignore him. In the first scenario you put yourself at a disadvantage because you team will have to fend off more enemies while you keep him down, the other scenario is you try to win a 5v4 but if you can't manage to win quickly Nasus will keep farming and even if he's 0/8 he will wreck half your team alone. I think the best way to play is to try to win lane against him, but focus more on winning everywhere else so you can end the game quickly. Nasus needs at least 30 minutes to become relevant so the goal should be to finish the game before then or at the very least shut down most of the rest of his team so he essentially has to 1v5 to win.

What Flaherty said. Late game Nasus is gonna beast mode on you much like GP used too no matter how bad their early game, especially with crazy stacks on his Q giving him godly damage while still being tanky.
