So why don't turrets do True Damage?

These things are suppose to be dangerous to dive. Yet they're not, it is very easy to get away with only a few scratches from said tower.

And the fact that a wave of minions can easily take out the tower to more than half its health if left alone?

I'd honestly feel safer with super minions than our current towers.

Depends on how squishy/mobile you are.

But do they not deal true damage? I read somewhere that they deal AD. If that's true, then the only reason I can think of as to why is because Armor tanks were meant to be tower divers.

All turrets deal physical damage EXCEPT the Nexus Obelisk (the one in your fountain) which deals 1000 true damage per tick.

OT: Unless you're a tank, turrets will still do pretty substantial damage to you throughout the early and midgame, enough to kill you in 3 ~5 shots (except the Inhibitor turrets which are an absolute joke and REALLY need to be changed; Seriously they do so little damage that I find REGULAR turrets more threatening than them, even on squishies).

They're only really meant to protect YOU earlier in the game, once you hit the midgame, you're intended to start protecting them, with them only offering minor assistance.
