I always found it funny how he would yell "COWARDS" when he runs away with ulti

Dessem13 votes

Riven also uses Valor to run away.

Quinn "Valor?"

Shut up Quinn.

Sulghunter2 votes

I used to use the ulti for escapes, but it now has a cast time.

ManiacalCoyote3 votes

The better part of valor is knowing when to run.

Why is Sion the smaller dude there?

AninLegions7779 votes

Cos Garen is full of justice.

GhostOfShrimpmas2 votes

I've always been careful to never do that with Sion. My team doesn't appreciate it, but only cowards fear death, and Sion has a really cool passive.

He's not running away, he's running TOWARDS a new battle!

Aeszarck6 votes

What worth is a dead Garen? Garen runs so that he can fight in more battles for the glory of Demacia.

SociopathFriend2 votes

I mean- with his passive that really is what he does. Garen is the Batman- you beat the crap out of him and he'll come right back in a bit to throw down again.

B1naryB0t3 votes

To be fair, Garen kinda is just a walking health bar with an R key.

Should only give bonus movement speed when moving towards enemies, I like that idea.

SociopathFriend4 votes

This sort of thing is somewhat frowned upon in that it would mean Garen would be actively penalized for ever running away- including when he's behind. So if he falls behind he will likely stay behind when faced with anyone who can get on him easily.

Volibear q has the same kind of effect. So does tahm w with an ally. I dont see this being too bad of a change, if hes compensated for it

Big Lincoln22 votes

new change

using Q automatically moves Garen toward enemies

can no longer change directions until justice is served

500000000000000011 votes

New effect: Garen is immune to all damage and CC not from the villain

This will help Garen players achieve their fantasy of killing the villain.

Mhihnj2 votes

also garen can't hurt anyone(even minions) except the villain

Big Lincoln2 votes

New effect: Garen automatically teleports to the Villain whenever a new person is marked

this will help Garen players achieve their fantasy of killing the villain.

Decrit10 votes

New effect: Garen deals true damage to the villain. This will help Garen players to... waitasec

crippler385 votes

new effect, garen ultimate is global range and targeted on the villain to always do 1000 true damage no matter what level it is, cd is also reset on kill

Wimbledofy15 votes

Dude it isn't a retreat, it's a tactical advancement in the opposite direction of the enemies.

Garen getting a double his current speed boost when running towards enemies and getting slowed by 50% when running away confirmed?

well fuck you too, buddy.

The great U.S. would still be under the rule of the British if it weren't for the practice of guerrilla warfare. Garen is a general, he understands what he must do to win the battle.

Smitty Manjensen4 votes

He doesn't run away, he strategically retreats so he can come back a bit later thanks to his passive, a true Garen main would know that.

Helmight3 votes

To be fair, it's not really Garen's fault he runs away with Q. It's the fault of whomever is playing Garen. A true Demacian like myself always goes in with Q :P

Garen : I have lost.. in shame of my demacian brethren.. I have lowered the morale of my comrades. I don't think I can hold this rank.

JarvanIV : Garen, even though you have lost the duel, you haven't lost the war. Our next move should bring the enemies what they deserve.

Lux Stay positive! He who fights and runs away lives to fight another day right?

Garen goes back to his fortress and Katarina teleports in. No guards are around

Katarina : Ha... AD... next time wear protection.

Garen item 3070

and the garen silences her because his passive healed him up

Garen : time to face justice

Katarina : ;p

its not a retreat, its a tactical advance in the opposite direction

Large Minivan2 votes

ever notice when he uses his q to run away he says: "CHARGE"

Draqone2 votes

Upvoted.

Garen gaining movement speed when running away makes no sense as far as lore is concerned.

Also, it makes his laning too safe in my opinion. He could be compensated with something like gaining extra Tenacity while W but bonus movement speed only when he runs towards enemies.

kaltenashes2 votes

when q is active, if running towards enemy he gets mov speed

fixed

Its not a retreat.

Its a tactical withdrawal.
