Your defending X because your just an X Main and don't want them to be nerfed

I've seen this a lot on the boards and i just wanna say YOU ARE WRONG.

The people defending X champion are either A. A fan of the champ but doesn't play them often B. Someone who wants to start to play X but dont want to have to have an uphill climb since they may be sitting on a shitty winrate C.Someone who studies statistics for a living and will always find an argument using statistics

What X Mains are like: A. Are okay with nerfs as long as the champion isn't unplayable B. Nerfs mean they can play their champ more as it will be outside of the FOTM and permaban C. Will still proceed to kick your ass and make you cry after the nerf because you will underestimate them and or they just have that much mechanical skill on X

Someone can really like a champion but like other champions more or don't like the role they are made for as much as others so they don't play them as often as a main of that champion would

i like Mordekaiser but I hate playing him post-juggernaut. I think Yorick conceptually but find him boring in game.

it's not a difficult concept to wrap your head around

Essentially my thought process is if you main a champion you play them most games and say and do things mainly for that champion. That is also currently one of your best champions.

My example for a fan would probably be for instance Malicious Metal who has been commenting on posts about Viktor (back when he got changed about balanced and now about lore), He is a Fan of Viktor but ultimately a Mordekaiser main

I comment on almost all champions. I am not a fan of all champions.

I AM however a Nasus main, a Nasus Fan, a Nasus4Live.

He is by far my most played champion, the champ I always fall back on, rely on, get my ELO from, the champ I know in and out, own all the skins and chromas, can play almost in every position and in every matchup, the champ I have 5 runepages just for him, the champ I love, cuddle and adore.

THAT is what it means to be a fan.

I disagree I call you a main. A fan means you LIKE said champ, a main means you ARE said champ.

But a MAIN of something doesnt exist in the dictionary but as long as my point gets across im fine with misunderstanding a word

There is no difference in definition.

There is a definition which is accepted by basically everybody, and then there is your fantsay-attempt at changing the meaning of a word so it suits your argument.

it doesn't matter what the definition is, He could might as well say explain his meaning every time. You get the meaning, no point in arguing about definitions.

The OP is right, I have defended champs before cause I associate them as Waifu material, but in reality, my only Waifu is Elise and my Incaranate is Sol. Only two champs I TRULY care about.
