So... where can I counter and beat Irelia?

She's hard to build against because she has all 3 types of damage, and builds BORK so you can't build full tank to beat her.

But her kit is super simplistic with a steroid, point and click gap closer, targeted slow or stun (with low range), and her only skillshot is one of the easiest types to use (straight line that pierces multiple targets) so it's hard to counter defensively with gameplay because all you can dodge is her ult. If you try to play a poke champ to just keep out of her effective range her Q resets on kill so she'll jump to a minion then to you. If you try to counter her by playing offensive she has sustain built into W, ult, and often starts flask.

The only thing I've been able to do is counterpick by choosing someone who just out classes her in every way like or (who are just overly strong right now in general), or taking and blasting her when I hit 6. I hate the idea of "counter pick and win, or don't counter pick and lose" so I hope that's not really the strategy for her.

It's 100% possible I'm just missing something since I'm not great at the game, so if I am, enlighten me.
